[Resolved]  Mahindra And Mahindra — GearBox complaints and Service issues

Am Thiraviarajan Kodivel, Owner of Mahindra XUV500 with the Vehicle Registration Number KA51MK0453.

Currently my car is with Mahindra India Garage, Whitefield since 5th July to repair the GearBox which is completely in collapsed and broken state.

When I first noticed some sandy noise from the bottom of my car on 17th June 2022 whenever I was shifting the gear, I left the car in Mahindra India garage, Whitefield, Bangalore and then inspected and said no issues with the car and returned the car back. Then next two weeks I didn’t use the vehicle.
When I noticed the same sandy noise on 2nd July 2022 when I shifted the reverse gear, I left the vehicle immediately to Mahindra India Garage for their diagnosis and inspection. After inspection, they advised me to change the Gear oil as there were some smallest metal particles which they changed by charging Rs1626 and based on their recommendation I took the vehicle back but told them that I will drop the vehicle again for the detailed diagnosis on 6th July. But looks like Vehicle Gearbox crumbled and became immobilized on 5th July and I towed the vehicle to the same garage again on 6th July(Wed) and after the inspection they said the entire hear box housing, Synchronizer are all damaged that I need to change that will cost 2 Lakh rupees. This was a total surprise to me how a gear box can be completely broken unless there is a manufacturing defect.

My car had a 5 yrs warranty till Jan 2022 and it was a surprise that total gearbox broken immediately right after the expiry of Warranty, and I was wondering it was programmed to break after 5yrs.

When I asked the Garage team (GM:Pruthvi) to work with Mahindra to get discount, they said Mahindra has given only 15% discount on the parts. For the all the collective Manufacturing defects and negligence from Mahindra India Garage, how I could pay such hefty money that too just 15% discount alone. So escalating to you now to look at this matter and provide atleast 60-70% discount towards replacing Gear box and Clutch flywheel as here the problem is caused by Manufacturing defects and communication issues from Garage to me.

Kindly address this on a priority basis.
