The Mahindra Bolero jeep of Manamadurai Municipality, vehicle TN 63 BP 1360, was handed over to the Mahindra company in Madurai on 26.06.2026 for repair works, including repairing the AC, replacing the faulty AC window shutter with a new one, repairing the central lock, and carrying out periodic maintenance. However, since the job card was prepared and handed over only the next day, a repair order slip was sent on 27.06.2026. It was then informed by Mahindra company that as of 01.07.2026, the vehicle had not been returned to the municipality for six days, and it would take further eight days in total (14 days) to fix the AC. Considering the standard processing time of Mahindra company, it was requested that the vehicle be returned to the municipality once the repairs were done and the service cost of Rs. 33, 880/- be paid. The above amount was paid to Mahindra Company's bank account via NEFT on 02.07.2026, and on that same day in the evening, the vehicle was handed over to the municipality. Only the periodic service and water wash of the vehicle were done before handing it over to the municipality. The other repair works pointed out in the vehicle were not fully completed, which is not acceptable behavior from the Mahindra service company. The municipality had to make payments over seven days, and there was also a cost incurred in the name of vehicle service. Therefore, it is requested that you conduct a sincere investigation with your employees regarding this matter and take proper action to ensure that those using your customer proper, honest, and prompt timely speedy service.
