Mahindra And Mahindra — Unused spare wheel (stepney) of my car was missing

I visited the Mahindra service centre workshop at Nangli Sakrawati on 11 October 2026 for servicing my Mahindra Scorpio-N (Vehicle Registration No. HR26FZ3900). Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
Approximately one hour after handing over my vehicle, photographs were taken, and I discovered that the unused spare wheel (stepney) of my car was missing.

When I raised a complaint, the workshop staff suggested checking the CCTV footage. Upon reviewing the available footage, I found that my vehicle had been kept for approximately 20 minutes in an area with no CCTV coverage. This raises serious concerns about the workshop’s vehicle security and monitoring procedures.

I requested the workshop management to either provide the CCTV footage covering the relevant period or compensate me by providing a replacement spare wheel. However, they are now refusing to compensate me or accept responsibility for this incident.

If the workshop has CCTV cameras but vehicles are moved or parked in areas without camera coverage, it reflects a serious gap in security and accountability. The workshop should also have a proper vehicle inspection procedure, including taking photographs of the vehicle and its accessories in the customer’s presence before accepting the keys.

This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a car service centre. Customers trust authorised service centres with their vehicles, and such incidents seriously damage that trust.

I strongly advise other customers to take photographs and videos of their vehicles, including the spare wheel and other accessories, before handing over the keys. Do not assume that everything will be handled securely.

I urge Mahindra management to investigate this incident, review the available CCTV footage, and resolve my complaint by providing a replacement spare wheel or appropriate compensation.

I am extremely disappointed with the service, lack of accountability, and the way this matter has been handled by the Mahindra workshop at Nangli Sakrawati.
