[Resolved] Mahindra And Mahindra — xuv 500 fuel pump | |||
Am an owner of 2015 xuv500, with registration no:kl 46m 5714 now with almost 84000 km on the odometer, with an extended warranty of 150000/5 year. When my car was around 79000 km its engine check light started showing up, i went up to the service centre and it was diagnosed as a faulty fuel pump, they did a flush out of diesel tank, pump check and i was told to replace the fuel pump if it still appears, the complaint was not there for few thousands of kilometers, and it (The engine check signal) started to show off again now i contacted the service centre eram motors, kunnamkulam, thrissur, kerala and they again indicated the faulty fuel pump. I asked them for the rectification, they suggested for the fuel pump replacement, but as the part was not available, they asked me to wait for couple of days, i waited till the date with no response from their end, then today i called the service centre after 10 days for registering the complaint and the shocking news was still the fuel pump was not sourced or available from mahindra, and the saddest part was even they cant say when it will be available, so i had to opt for another mean of family transportation till then or had to bear the risk of travelling in a vehicle with a faulty fuel pump. It was really a bad /shocking experience from a reputed brand like mahindra, if the after sales service from the mahindra for a quite popular model like xuv 500 is like this, how come a person will buy another car /suggest somebody to have a car from mahindra in future. The experience was really disappointing.
