I have been compelled to write this email about my mahindra xuv500 w10 variant reg no ka-03 mw-6196, which did not power on “[protected]” morning as my key did not get recognised. It was crucial day for my wife, who was suppose to travel out of bangalore, for important work. I had ensured the xuv500 is ready interms of fuel, air pressure and cleanliness, the night before travel, which is normally done by anyone.

I was under shock and trauma on the day my xuv500, did not start, which was my dream and families most needed suv. Initially i had decided to buy a car, but chose suv and did lot of research interms of safety and comfort.
I had zeroed down on the concept and line "cheetah inspired", i had so much trust and confidence in mahindra and its infotainment technology, which did function for close to 2years. However, now after the incident of my xuv500 which did not start, has let me down in the trust and confidence i had on mahindra. I can understand if wear and tear of my xuv was bad and therefore, this happened. If you see my service history and 10k kms, which is very minimal for a suv.

It was safety for me and my family, hence did not think of spending 20lakhs for suv, even though we had santro and alto cars at home.
Imagine, if my wife traveled that day in xuv500 and the car went off on the highway, it would have been disaster. And the way my xuv500 was towed, lost my respect and image in the neighbour hood. My car was damaged by the tower around bumper and bonnet, while moving it.

When i checked the sireesh auto, jakkur service centre who took my xuv, told me there was manufacturing defect, in start/stop button sensor and it need to be replaced. Its unbelievable, that a car which is gone through all quality checks and rto requirement failed miserably in my case. I am purpleclub member, is all due to variant of my car, which does not carry any meaning.

I need a complete explanation and written statement on the failure, i will definitely take up this issue very seriously and would take necessary action to seek customer satisfaction.

Inspite of spending 20lakhs, i do not get safety, trust and confidence on a company which makes cars with infotainment technology.
