Mahindra & Mahindra — Complaint regarding repeated unresolved defects and inadequate after-sales service Mahindra XUV700 AX7 Diesel Manual

Address: Lohchab mahindra, bahadurgarh, haryana

I am the owner of a Mahindra XUV700 AX7 Diesel Manual, purchased in November 2025 for approximately ₹24 lakh.
The vehicle has not even completed one year of ownership, yet I have been forced to make repeated visits to the authorised Mahindra dealership over the past two months due to recurring issues with the vehicle.
Despite visiting the dealership on three separate occasions, the issue has still not been permanently resolved. On each occasion, I was given assurances that the problem would be properly addressed and that I would not have to face the same issue again. However, the same problems have continued to recur, requiring me to repeatedly take the vehicle to the dealership and spend considerable time away from my professional and personal responsibilities.
The situation has now become extremely serious. The vehicle is not responding properly to accelerator input and is severely restricted in its ability to accelerate, making it effectively unusable on public roads. Its performance is severely compromised, making it unsafe and impractical to drive. The vehicle is currently parked at my residence because of this issue.
I have also raised complaints with Mahindra's customer service on multiple occasions, but I have not received an adequate response or a satisfactory resolution. Despite repeatedly approaching the authorised service centre and raising complaints with the manufacturer, I have yet to receive a permanent solution to the problem.
This is particularly concerning given that the vehicle is less than one year old and was purchased for approximately ₹24 lakh. A customer should not be required to repeatedly visit an authorised service centre for the same or related unresolved issues, particularly when the vehicle has now reached a point where it cannot be used normally.
Most recent incident
On 15 October 2026, the vehicle was being driven on a highway when it suddenly failed to respond properly to accelerator input and was unable to move normally. This placed me in a potentially dangerous situation while driving on a highway and required the vehicle to be taken to the authorised dealership for inspection and repair.
The vehicle was subsequently returned to my residence on 17 October 2026, with the dealership assuring me that the reported problems had been resolved. However, upon inspecting and attempting to operate the vehicle after it was returned, I found that the exact same problem continued to exist.
The vehicle remains in substantially the same condition as it was before being taken to the dealership and is still not functioning normally.
This is particularly concerning because the vehicle had already been presented to the dealership on multiple occasions for the same or related issues. Despite repeated assurances that the problem had been rectified, the defect has persisted and has now resulted in the vehicle becoming effectively unusable.
I purchased a Mahindra vehicle with the expectation of receiving a reliable product along with adequate after-sales support. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been completely contrary to that expectation.
I therefore request that:
1. The recurring defect be thoroughly investigated and permanently rectified, rather than another temporary repair being carried out.
2. Mahindra and the authorised dealership provide a written explanation of the cause of the repeated failure, along with details of the repairs and corrective actions carried out on each occasion.
3. The vehicle be restored to proper and safe operating condition at the earliest.
4. I be appropriately compensated for the repeated dealership visits, inconvenience, loss of time, and inability to use the vehicle due to the unresolved defect.
5. If the defect cannot be permanently rectified, Mahindra should provide an appropriate alternative remedy in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
I am willing to provide all relevant purchase documents, job cards, invoices, photographs/videos of the issue, previous complaint numbers, and correspondence with Mahindra and the dealership as required.
I can be contacted at [protected]@gmail.com for any further information or documentation.
