MakeMyTrip India — Booking cancelled without consent, No refund provided, No rescheduling allowed | |
I Booked tickets for a round trip between Bangalore and Mumbai for self and family before pandemic lockdown in the MakeMyTrip portal. Onward journey date was 17 May 2020 and return journey date was on 23 May 2020. Due to lockdown all flights were cancelled and the refund was supposed to be in credit shell as per the Govt. of India and can be used before 31 March 2021. Booking amount was 21715 rupees for both onward [ GoAir ] and return [SpiceJet], but now GoAir tickets are cancelled without my consent and showing No refund due in the portal. and availability of credit voucher of only 10872 was showing in the booking details. No Customer support, when tried calling to customer care, Bangalore offices are vacated/ closed when visited. I tried to reach Airlines, they confirmed that the cancelled tickets are still available and can only be rebooked via MakeMyTrip portal. MakeMyTrip Customer care Interactive voice response [IVR] says, support is not available for cancelled tickets, for rebooking of existing tickets, IVR says Agent will call back regarding same, but no response received since 10days from anyone and needed the tickets to be booked at the earliest. There is no way to contact any MakeMyTrip agent to rebook my tickets and the amount is still blocked, i am expecting the amount to be in the credit shall so that i can rebook the tickets as per the airline guidelines.
