Hi all

Marshalls banglore jayanagar office one of the most unprofessional organisation i have come across in my life.
The money was committed for my 3 bed room house wallpaper and flooring, 100% in advance. The money was committed around 5 months ago in this year.
They started work in my place from 5th september. This was committment to dfinish work by 11th of september. Not completed at all. Second false committment finishing by 18th of september not fullfilled. Third committment will be resolved by 25th of september.
Work is still not finished till 29th of september.
They don't have dedicated wall paper staff, not floor staff.
Its a money minting machine.
They took lacs in advance. Then there person mr rajesh so called sales guy keep taking rs 50000 and 30000, up and above for skirting and priming on walls.
Two people mr rajesh and mr maruti just want to mint money only.
They don't fullfill any committments.
My full house is still in messy situation from last one month. I don't know what to do???
We tried sending mails to director mr pratap, chairperson, all the possible big heads but no one is moving.
After committing huge amount, time i have got incomplete pathetic job.
The walls which have wallpaper done is coming off now only after few days passed.

I want the matter to be resolved and logically they should pay compensation for my pain.
One month wasted.
My work suffered, my husbands work suffered.
My whole house is unsettled.
My kids exam time its suffering.

My mental stress has led me to severe sleep problems, my worklife and personal life suffering badly.

Marshalls is a trusted brand since 1975 and we are specialist in our product line.

We have taken your complaint seriously and have investigated the same at our level to understand the issue.

Upon our investigation we found that major portion of around 70 rolls of wallpaper fixing with Spot POP (Wall Surface Preparation) and Vinyl flooring work has been completed. There are now only some minor touch up work to be done.

Images attached in your complaint are old and new site condition as on date is totally different from the once which are shown in your attached images.

I am hereby attaching the latest images of your site for reference.

We hereby assure that your site will be completed as per best of our satisfaction by 3rd October 2018, Wednesday.

Please be assured that any issues related to our work will be attended from our end, ensuring that you are served as per our satisfaction.

    Extremely unprofessional service. Firstly, the installer came without a ladder to install the wallpaper - which seems like it should be a basic piece of equipment to carry to paste wallpaper.
    Secondly, because of shoddy installation, the wallpaper fell off with parts of the wall, which the company wasn't bothered to fix. They were finally able to send someone 5 days after the initial call (And many, many repeated ones), after more damage to the paint job and wall was incurred, which the company took no responsibility for.
    After they sent a 'senior engineer', the wallpaper is now fine, which leads me to believe that a high number of the installers are hacks and have no idea how to do their jobs.
    Customer care of the company is beyond poor and i sincerely hope that others think twice before opting for marshalls.

    Marshalls is a wallpaper specialist company with 100+ plus trained and screened technicians in our payroll, which ensures the safety factor for all our esteemed clients, which is missing with any other wallpaper company.

    Please note that carrying a ladder from our Mahim office is not that easy, we have to book a Tempo to carry ladder which adds additional transportation cost because it cannot be carried in a taxi.

    In normal practice client has to provide ladder at site, if client is unable to arrange ladder at site then they may request us to carry ladder which would be charged against Transportation from Mahim to site via Tempo, only upon confirmation of client Ladder is carried from Marshalls office to clients site.

    We also provide 1 year composite warranty of wallpaper installed, later after warranty we provide AMC facilities too, since we are confident of our product and installation expertise.

    Being a wallpaper expert we are responsible for wallpaper related issues and not paint related issues on the wall, which you yourself have witnessed in your case too i.e. wallpaper issues were attended in a professional manner under the supervision of our Sr. Technical Head.

    Please be assured that any issues related to wallpaper will be attended from our end, ensuring that you are served as per our satisfaction.

    We have installed Marshall wall papers in our residence at Sion about 2-3 years back, now the wall paper has started coming off from the joints at several places, kindly depute your representative to look and fix the problem at an earliest .

      We had purchased two different wallpapers for two of our walls. Firstly, we fail to understand how the measurement estimate of marshall employee could go so wrong which resulted in at least 4 rolls being left partially used. Secondly, our calls to marshalls powai are not being answered for fixing the remaining paper. We have been given at least 3 slots till now on different dates when we were told that their people are coming, but no body has turned up so far.

        Hi,
        I have been working with marshalls since the last 3 years, never faced a problem,, however last time i got wallpaper installed from marshalls, they have installed the wrong wallpaper and now they are expecting me to bare 50% of the cost to replace with the chosen one.,
        Scenario-
        I shortlisted 2 wallpapers a& b to chose from (Of the same book - nature luxury)
        Towards the end, we finalised wallpaper b as it completely matched my other interior colours of the room.

        On the day of installation the person was requested to come by 2pm but i was clearly informed that lrior to 3-4pm installer wont come.
        I had specifically asked for the installers contact from the branch manager, which upon calling was switched off. This is around 2pm to notify installer ill be reaching at 3pm and to reconfirm his timing.

        My assistant reached site at 2:45 & called me that application has been goig on since 2! And the wrong wallpaper has been applied, i had the work stalled and inmediately contacted the respective store manager, who claimed the wallpaper is as per choice.
        Now ;
        The day the measurement team from marshalls came to my site,
        I had specifically asked him to carry the respective wallpaper book,
        He apparently found carrying the book difficult but got a swatch anyways.

        The swatch matched the wallpapers picture that my client had taken and we okayed the order.
        We have the swatch pictures and the wallpaper pic from the book as proof that our selection was that.

        Marshalls team keeps bringing up code numbers.. But as layman i have nothing to do with the same as i have taken the designs picture for my reference.
        Codes are their duty and not mine..
        They refuse to accept a mistake has been made in noting down wallpaper
        And are suggesting that they will replace it only under one condition - that we bear the 50% cost..
        They claim the swatch that came was wrong.. But how can there be such a big co incidence that i have a samwatch thay matches the picture i had taken at marshalls showroom?
        Kindly tell me why must i do the same when its. Not my fault..
        -selected wallpaper b
        -recieved swatch of wallpapwr b
        -workers phone was switched off
        -marshalls team notified of the wrongwallpaper
        -marshalls not ready to accept the mistake
        -no client servicing after an association of 3 years..

        We dont mind moving this as an official complaint.

          A i'd seen ur advt. About 15000 for a room wall paper. When i approached ur branch at chembur. They have told me that scheme is only for 5 rolls. Since my room requires 8 rolls. I'll have to pay for balance 3 rolls. Estimate provided @ rs. 25, 360/-.
          That too for roof i've to get painted at my own cost. Since wall paper application isn't possible on the roof.
          I'm surprised at this difference in cost for incomplete work.
          Please look into the matter and let me have the reply at the earliest

            I have made several complaints regarding repair of my wooden flooring & wall paper which is in the warranty period, I was told the person will come on the 5th Nov`16, nobody came, I called again & was promised that someone would attend this week, upto now no one has come neither I have received any call from Marshalls Wallpaper customer care.
            I appreciate that the sales executives are excellent in selling the productions but the after sales is very poor, never expected that this from a big name like Marshalls.
            In today's competitive market what counts is after sales.
            I am still awaiting for someone to attend to my complaints

              This is a serious complaint from a regular customer since past 13 years.
              This is a complaint regarding the wall covering order placed for the restaurant The Excellensea and as the usual practice is that the advance for the full amount is taken in advance which is fair but then we have to be behind them for the execution. We have never experienced this problem before with Marshall but in this recent order amounting to Rs 3 lac apps, we have to be behind the sales person Mr Clifford to execute them and he says to contact his office personnel. At the time of taking the order and till they receive the full amount Mr Clifford is in the picture and now at the time of execution Mr Clifford transfers the responsibility to his office personnel. Secondly, as the full amount is given in advance, we have to live up to the quality and perfection as we cannot do anything as the amount is given and the company management Mr Sajid and Mr Clifford puts their hands up and refused to rectify with the irregularities done while fixing, and we as consumers cannot do anything as the amount is fully paid in advance.

                Wall paper had been installed at our house in indirapuram, Ghaziabad 6 months back through your dealer in indirapuram. Now we want to shift the wall paper to some other wall ...as renovation work us going on in our house.

                I had requested your dealer in Indirapuram to send the labour for shif ting the wall paper to other wall..she told me that she will get back to me ..But neither shd is picking up my calls now..
                Nor responding on this.

                Pl do the need full.

                  Marshalls has an annual sale every year wherein they take huge sums of money from people for which they can avail of products at a later date or refund it if they so wish. We had paid them rs.55, 000 during this period @ the Worli branch in Mumbai, and were given several assurances for the same as part of the hard sell. But we have since then experienced very poor customer service, products are unnecessarily overpriced and policies are inconsistent. Post the offer period their entire approach changes. Even after trying hard when we could not find products to our liking and requirement, we requested for a refund as per company policy. we are still waiting for a refund and being constantly harassed for the same. Personally visiting the store didn't help, executives don't respond to calls, emails are not responded to, others make excuses saying they are either not in office or in a meeting, every single time. Doesn't this reek of fraudulent practice? By the way, they also wanted us to submit to them all evidence of having paid them the money without giving any written acknowledgment for the same! they seemed "inconvenienced' when we asked them to at least write on a photocopy of the said documents that they have received it and were reluctant to do that too! it is a blessing we had made copies of the same for ourselves. I don't mind paying a premium amount for actual quality but such unprofessionalism and lack of ethics is unaccepable. Marshalls give my money back now and stop harassing us. I will never ever deal with this company again. Disgusting.

                    Dear Sir,

                    I have pre booked some wall paper from your Kandivali Store on 6th April vide receipt no 5821 (receipt enclosed) I purchased this in advance so could get the same done for my daughters birthday…

                    After the purchase firstly the STAFF did not come home for fittings, on calling back & checking why have they not yet come. They mentioned that the quote offered to me was wrong.. & they cannot provide the paper now.. How ridiculous is this after me paying & you collecting my money you say this & not even bother to call back..

                    The sales staff mentioned the system gave her a wrong quote.. ! how can I trust that especially when i had purchased the paper in your scheme.. so in essence it was more of a cheating practice of offering the discount on the shop & latter collecting the additional monies.

                    After my repeated followup with yor Kandivali store they ache not called back or too me anything about the paper or my money.

                    This is a classic malpractice of luring customers with a DISCOUNT collecting their monies & later NOT delivering the goods.. not even calling back for the same.

                    Simple request deliver the walloper or return the money or I will put a charge back claim & put in a FRAUD category mail to the banks.

                      one of the worst customer experience i had with Marshalls. They took wrong measurement at my home and then i gave them the money they asked me. now, since the measurement was wrong huge amount of material was left over to which now they say that they can only refund a part of that excess material. And they expect me to bear more than 1500 rs loss coz of their own mistake of taking wrong measurements. Such loose talks they do with their customers... i am so furious over this company. This is one bad company to buy products.. no respect whatsoever for their customers.



                      I am asking for my money as its my right, and they dont have any right to keep it and moresover when its their own mistake. Why should i bear for the mistake they do???

                        Marshalls Wallpaper do not know anything about customer service. They only insist on full payment before completion of the job and then leave it half done. they do not even follow up with the client. In fact the client has to beg of them and follow up but to no avail. Even the complaints department is useles.. Do not deal with salesmen, Paresh and Clifford. They are the laziest goats in the company. They do not walk into office before 12 O'clock at noon. they never return your calls and give you false promises. I wish this reaches the media and advise no body to go to them.

                        My work is still not complete and they do not realise the inconvenience it has caused me.
