Maruti Suzuki — Correct Engine Oil for Gypsy King BS4

A MASS has put TOTAL QUARTZ SMC 5W30 engine oil in Gypsy King. Later I found that this semi synthetic oil is suitable for K series engines only. Gypsy King does not have a K series engine, and recommended grade of oil for it is 15W50. Will the Total Quartz oil harm the Gypsy engine ? Should it be changed immediately ? Why does Maruti Suzuki not educate its service stations about the correct oil for each type of engine/vehicle ?
