Maruti Suzuki India — complaint about dealer | |||
Respected sir, My name is basheer v. B and i am a resident of karimugal, ernakulam, kerala, india. This letter is in context of a particularly traumatizing incident i had with your francisees, indus motors co. Pvt. Limited opposite south gate of shipyard, m. G road, cochin 682015 On 28/07/2017 i went to indus motors to book a celerio and as part of the test drive i drove it home. On test driving i did not find it comfortable instead i decided to move on to swift a higher model. I informed this to the executive in indus, mr ajmal. My problems started after this. Mr ajmal persuaded me from not taking a swift car for some reason. He told me that he will give a lot of offers, if i took celerio and nothing for swift. On further negotiation he told me that i could get up to rs 20, 000 discount on celerio but only rs 5000 on swift. This was the most shocking part. He said that i had to pay an extra sum of rs one lakh with the advance if i wanted the swift. If i did so, he informed me that might try getting me offers. There was no surety even then. As he was very convincing in his talking and also convinced of the offers he gave me, i agreed to do an extra fitting of rs 32000. On friday, 04/08/2017 when i came to indus motors, Mr ajmal turned out to be a very different person. He told me that he wont give me most the offers that he had promised me earlier. From this i understood that this was a ploy by mr. Ajmal of indus motors to lure a customer by promising them utopian offers and brain washing them to buy it. I plainly refused to go by anything he said if he was not able to keep his word. He then asked me to check with other dealers and the offers given by other dealers, because apparently he thought that he gave the best deal in the country. On further compulsion, i went to other dealers like sai service, popular and maijo motors. To my surprise they gave me a way better offer and deal than indus and importantly, they knew how to talk to a customer. When i informed about the other offers by dealers, ajmal then offered to give me the same deal. He was very pleading in his attitude. Believing his word, on 06/08/2017, my son shafeeque v. B (25 years) went instead of me. Shafeeque talked about the offers and the money to be spend on the extra fittings. At this moment, ajmal informed us that indus/ maruti would not give us any bill for the offers or for the extra fittings. It was outrageous to not have a bill for an amount as big as rs 32000 and my son asked him, how he could trust them with such a big amount. At this point, mr ajmal started showing his true colours and started behaving rudely with my son. He did not give the basic respect, an employee is supposed to give to their customers. It was as if he had a personal grudge with my son and was repeatedly mocking him. Ajmal used filthy language to my son in front of other customers there and employees present there. The drama did not end here. Mr ajmal asked his employees to come and mockingly told them - "look who has come to buy a swift car, and is asking us for offers?" they jeered t him mockingly. Upset at the turn of events he called me to ask if we should still buy from there. I told him not to. When my son asked back for the booking amount, he informed him that he will deduct 25 percentage from that. Maruti suzuki is a reputed brand and it is this strong reputation which motivated us to buy a vehicle from their authorized dealer, indus motors. But to our fate we were emotionally, financially and physically harassed. The staff representing maruti suzuki must be taught a basic etiquette of how to behave with customers. This is very important if you really want to maintain global standards. People like mr ajmal behave as if this were a fish market and use such irresponsible language. At this point i would like to remind you that, as customers none o[censored]s are obligated to buy from you.in this age of tremendous competition, we have several alternatives to chose from if one does not work out. Do not take your customers for granted. For two weeks we kept coming and going of your branch. At one point my colleague had pointed out to me that, hyundai grand i10 is a very good alternative to swift and that their dealers, executives and customer service is of impeccable standards. Even then we were adamant on having a swift and this took us to maijo motors and on 07/08/2017 gave an advance of rs one lakh to book a swift. There are a lot of customers like me, who on a daily basis are being cheated at indus motors. The emotional torture, financial loss and public humiliation i had to go through was unimaginable. I request maruti suzuki to take responsibility for this and to do the necessary course of action. I'm attaching a copy of the bill we paid at the two dealers. Looking forward to your reply.
