I had purchased OMINI -8 seater for the purpose of transporting school students and doing it as a service and not profits. My intention being good I went to the supposed to be the a good dealer in Hyderabad - Varun Motors. They marketed well and convinced me to buy and an extended warranty for 3 Years(2 years being normal). This was last year(2014) April.
I had serviced it regularly as per norms and last time I did was in January 2015. There were no problems and when we went for servicing this week they reported problems with brake discs being worn out & shock absorbers & suspension bolt being broken. When I asked for replacement under WARRANTY they say it is not applicable in my case as it not a manufacturing defect. If that was the case why did they make me pay for it during the purchase. I strongly feel I have been taken for ride.The poor quality of Maruthi was completely visible as both the Suspension bolts and brake discs were worn out in just ONE YEAR. I have a pay a whopping billing of Rs 9000 instead of a servicing charges of Rs 3000.
I had talked to the marketing manager and he promised to help me. Eventually after 5 days of effort I was offered Rs 130 as discount. And I had vague explanations of why I cannot get a better discount.
After spending Rs 3.00 lacks and getting poor quality Vehicle, I am utterly disappointed and advise people to be cautious of any Maruthi purchase as you can be taken for ride and be fooled to pay more on extended warranty and squeezed during servicing of the Vehicle.
