Micromax — Mobile handset charging repeated problem | |||
Dear Team, I had purchased Micromax A-290 Black Micromax in September 13, 2014 from Magnet shop based in Magnet Mall in Vile Parle West, Opposite Irla. Within 4 days of purchase of the mobile, the mobile started giving problems with respect to charging. Inspite of keeping the mobile on charging for hours the mobile phone was not charging. The problem was with the charger socket and the mobile could not be charged. Since the Magnet store had a policy of replacing defective mobile handset with a new one, if the defective handset is returned to the store within 7 days of purchase of the handset. In my case, since I had returned the handset within 7 days, I was provided with a replacement mobile handset. With this I thought my misery and hardship were done away with, but how wrong I was. The new mobile handset initially worked fine for a period of 1 to 2 months, however thereafter my misery with the handset started with the same problem of the charger socket not working properly due to which my mobile handset was not charging. The mobile handset was given to the shop from where I had purchased the mobile. After a few days, my mobile handset was handed over to me after servicing. The mobile worked fine for a couple of weeks and thereafter again the same problem occurred. Again this time I handed over the mobile to the Magnet shop for servicing. To my surprise, after three days I received a message from the shop that the mobile set has been serviced. I collected the mobile and to my utter shock the mobile set was not charging again within a day of collecting it from the shop. I handed over the mobile set to the Magnet shop for the third time. After approx couple of weeks I received my mobile which lasted for barely a month and again the problem resurfaced. This was the fourth time when I handed over my mobile set to the shop and I was losing my patience with the mobile set. This time the experience was so painful and since I had pointed out that I have been having repeated problems inspite of servicing, I was told that due to repeated problems my mobile set was sent to Micromax’s Delhi ‘s service centre. After much follow up I was told that my mobile set had motherboard issues and hence sent to Delhi for servicing. After frustrating wait for approx three weeks, I received my mobile set which lasted for another two months. Thereafter the problem again resurfaced and this is the fourth time, I have given my mobile handset for servicing since September 2014 when I had purchased my mobile and I am yet to receive a satisfactory reply from Magnet mall. I have been a loyal customer of Micromax and even my earlier phone was a Microx model, unfortunately this experience has left me stifling and I seem to have lost faith in the brand and the company Micromax. In short I had go to the shop five times since September 2014 (once for the handset and 4 times for the existing handset). I request you and the company, Micromax to kindly look into this matter and rectify the same immediately before you lose a customer permanently.
