Sir/Madam,

Kindly help me. My complain is against HDFC bank and its pending since 1.5 years by HDFC bank.

I have complained 1000s times to HDFC bank, which is as under:

Sir/ Madam,

Kindly refer to my ombudsman Complaint No: [protected] is made in RBI.

It is humbly requested to kindly remove all extra charges of around Rs. 25, 000 pending since long on my HDFC card *** 7383 ( Rs. 5000 extra payment already done by me). Total pending extra charges showing as on date is approx Rs, 20, 000. I was your valuable customer for more than 6-7 years.

All the matters started from FY, 2019 onwards due to the fault of your bank. My initial complaints during 2019 were made for initial wrong charges of only[protected] during June-July, 2019. But now that same initial charges have become more than Rs. 25, 000.

I have waited for 1.5 years for resolution. But your bank never entertained my case properly.

Please and try to understand my humble request by reading all (each and every line) the points as mentioned below to understand the long-pending issue of extra charges ( more than Rs.20K ) on my card:

I have sent 1000s of complaints by emails/calls to HDFC customer care to your customer care/ redressal cell from the last 1.5 years for the removal of wrong/extra charges (more than Rs.20, 000) made on my HDFC credit card.

Please also see the financial year 2019-20 billing summary statement sent by your bank during this month (Dec 2020). Your bank has clearly stated that total expenditure (Purchase & debits) made during FY 2019-20 was Rs. 60, 012 and total payment done by me was Rs. 62, 156 upto March 2020. Which is Rs. 2150 extra payment was done by me during FY 2019-20.

Extra charges were made during June, 2019 onwards due to the fault of the bank. Your bank had not sent bill statements during March-May in the financial year 2019-20.

After 100s of email complaint and request by call (From May to November 2019), your bank finally sent the lapsed bill statement last month during Nov-Dec, 2019.

As I had not received the billing statement (April-May, 2019), so I had no idea how much actual amount I have to pay. Hence, approx. Rs. 7000 the payment was done by me in July 2019.

After that, from August - November, 2019, I made 100s of email complaint and call request to your bank for reversal of all wrong charges and requested for sending me a pending statement (April to May 2019) so that I could pay the actual bill.

During this period of complaint session, I always paid the minimum pending amount due from August- December 2019) because, and I waited for the resolution of my several complaints about huge wrong charges made on my card due to non-receipt of bill statement.

Finally, your bank sent me past being bill statements during Nov-Dec, 2019. Based on receipt of the pending bill statement, I calculated all wrong/extra charges amount and all actual expenditure made by me up to December 2019.

I always tried to pay the entire expenditure amount of approx.. Rs.40, 000 subject to reversal of wrong charges made due to non-recept of past month bill statements.

But your bank listened and agreed on my several complaints very delayed by Nov- December, 2019. And your bank was not agreed to a full reversal of charges, despite knowing the facts, that initial fault was made by the bank and the customer waited for resolution up to December 2019.

When your bank did not agree to my humble request in December 2019, than I stopped payment for 2 months. Then in January 2020 your bank started to continue calling me. I always replied then that I am waiting for doing complete payment from August 2019 onwards subject to reversal of wrong charges. Hence, I will pay all actual amount of approx.. 28, 000 pending during January 2019 subject to reversal of wrong charges of approx. Rs. 13, 000. (During May-Dec, 2019, every month charges were doubling, and total charges of approx. Rs. 13, 000 were made instead of the resolution of my complaint).

Your bank took my complaint, and again spent 2 months of a long time (Dec-Feb, 2019) for providing me the resolution.

During this two month time(Jan-Feb, 2019) taken by your bank for resolution my complaint, the amount of the charge of Rs. 13, 000 was again increased reached upto Rs. 18, 000.

Finally, in February 2019, your bank had accepted a bill stating that was not sent to me during April-May, 2019). Due to which, payment was pending. However, without sending the pas bill statement, sudden June-July month statement was received with extra charges previous months made in June – August 2019 statement. Your bak accepted that these initial extra charges were wrong and were made due to the fault of the bank due to the non-sending of bill statement.

Hence, all charges were wrong on the ground of initial wrong charges. Based on this, your bank agreed in February 2019 that all extra/wrong charges will be removed.

As your bank agreed in Feb 2019 that they will remove all extra charges and I have to pay the actual amount immediately.

Finally, on this ground your promise made by your bank during Feb end, 2019, I made all pending previous left payments (August to Jan 2019) of approx. Rs. 28, 000, against this amount I paid more amount (i.e. Rs. 5000 + Rs.25000+ Rs.3000 at the end of Feb 2019 after the resolution of extra charges matter). Infect I made extra payments of around Rs.[protected].

The matter was closed.

Despite all payments done by me, up to Feb- 1st week of March 2019. While lockdown started, I again started receiving false bill statements with huge extra /wrong charges of approx. Rs.13, 000.

Then I realized that your bank again cheated with me by making a false commitment of removal of all charges due to bank fault.

Now again, I started sending complaints and I sent 1000s of complaints by emails to your bank from April- Sept 2019. After the lockdown ends, your customer care became functional, then I made complaints every day by calling your customer care and by email.

From April- December 2020, I have sent more than 2000s email complaints and also 1000s of calls by calling every day to your redressal cell/customer care. But your bank always took registered complaining, but the reply of complaints was never given to me and your bank never responded me properly with any resolution. Again card was blocked, so your customer care requested me to pay the minimum amount of Rs. 3700, so that they can check the card statements and wrong bills. Accordingly, I did a minimum amount paid Rs. 3700.

Due to my continuous mental harassments done by your HDFC bank, I finally complained RBI by filing ombudsman Complaint No: [protected] in RBI.

Kindly stop sending me a false bill with the wrong charges of approx. Rs.20, 000 . (Total wrong extra charges of approx. Rs. 25, 000 as on date).

It is humbly requested to kindly remove/reverse all extra charges of around Rs. 25, 000 pending on my card ( Rs. 5000 extra payment already done by me) for the card account opening process.

Also kindly compensate me for harassing me by your bank for the last 1.5 years for not entertaining of my 1000s of complaints. Further, stop harassing me to make my life depression-free, I can't sustain more harassment of your HDFC bank.

kindly remove/reverse all extra charges of around Rs. 25, 000 pending on my card. (Now showing more than Rs. 19175+ Rs. 3700 again paid by me for card unblock request made by your bank in last month)

Also kindly compensate me for my mental harrasment caused by your bank since 1.5 years, for wasting of my precious time in writing 1000s of complaints and doing 1000s of call in to your customer care since, 2019 and despite all this, your bank did not not provide resolution from the last 1.5 years.
