[Resolved] Motorola — Service charges rs. 300 demanded to check mobile defect (in warranty) at motorola authorized service center | |||||
Date of incident : 30th october 2016 Date of visit to motorola service center : 31st october 2016 Description : My moto g turbo mobile purchased online via amazon.com on 8th may 2016 (in warranty) suddenly got heated up on 30th october 2016 and automatically got switched off. I earlier also visited same service center on 17th october 2016 as sim 1 pin got detached while removing sim card but service center representative refused to repair it free of cost stating that its a physical damage. This time my same handset got automatically switched off so i decided to visit motorola authorized service center at vashi i. e. newtech but instead of checking my mobile having root cause of overheating, service center member started asking for a service charge of rs. 300 for checking defect. i refused to pay as it is duty of service center to check problem with device. The staff at newtech is extremely non cooperative and i want to lodge complaint against motorola and newtech (service center) for not performing their duties and asking for service charges to check defect of mobile.
