[Resolved] Motorola Solutions — Moto g turbo not repaired under warranty, request for refund of repair charges rejected | |||
I purchased Moto G turbo mobile handset from flipkart on 01.02 2016. On 28.02.2016 I found that Sim 1 is not detected by the handset. Thinking that Sim insertion in slot could be loose I removed sim from sim slot 1 and one of the connectors came out along with the sim card. I removed the sim just like anyone would remove it...simply by pushing the sim out of the slot with my fingers. Next day, in order to repair it the handset was taken to service centre in Vashi-Navi Mumbai named “New Tech Solution” where the handset was repaired but not under warranty. They claimed that this is physical damage which is not covered under warranty. In my opinion this is a quality issue and must be covered under warranty. I was forced to pay Rs 2250 for the repairs of handset as I was badly in need of it, within a month from the purchase, that too without any fault from my side. The service centre staff continued to claim that there has been physical damage to the handset which is not true. I tried to resolve the issue by discussing my problem with motorola customer care helpline, prior to making the payment, but it didn't help. Subsequently I took up the issue with Motorola by writing an email for refund of repair charges but my request was rejected. Tried to involve Flipkart also by keeping them in Cc but not of any use. This is not justified; Motorola should honour my request and give Refund of Rs. 2250 which was charged by the service centre instead of doing the repairs under warranty.
