Naaptol Lucky Draw Scam — RandomLuckyDrawContest of NaptolOnlineShoppingPvtLtd(PrizeDivn),CityTowerComplex,SasthitalaLane,Atghara,NewTown,Kolkata-700052

I am a regular customer of Naptol. I had purchased one Juicer and one BP machine in past.
Under Ref No.5008/R and Order No.69782313, I received a printed letter in English and Hindi, delivered to me through India post, on 26th June 2021 (Saturday). The letter accompanied a scratch card with Prize Code: 04421R with naptol regd logo printed on it.
I enclose photo copies of both the letter and the scratch card for your kind reference.

When I scratched the card, it revealed that I won Rs.7, 50, 000. As I was a past buyer, I was happy that I am very lucky to win such a huge sum. The letter gives Helpline: [protected] and Whatsapp No.: [protected] (open from 9am to 5pm).

The letter instructs me to contact, for prize related information, only the Prize Helpline No. and not the Company's Customer Care No.
Accordingly I called the above Prize Helpline No. at 4pm (on 26.6.21). One Mr. Nitin Kumar Singh verified my Prize Code No.04421R and asked me to whatsapp him my bank A/c details including the IFC code. I whatsapped same. He advised me that he would revert back to me on Monday (the 28th) for further processing.
The conditions rules specify that courier charges would be collected from the winner in advance. And that the Prize if won will be directly credited to the winner's Bank Account. And also says that all charges + Govt. Taxes would be collected in advance and the same would not be adjusted against the prize money under any circum-stances.

While the letter says reputed brands of consumer durables would be awarded as also cash prizes. Some doubts arose in my mind as under.
Rs.7.5 lac is a huge sum. The winner, depending on his age, is liable to pay income tax between Rs.75, 000 and 1, 35, 000, which, as per the Prize conditions, will be collected by Naptol Prize division IN ADVANCE. These days lots of frauds are taking place online as you cannot nab the scamsters. I am taking liberty in referring the matter directly to you to confirm whether the Prize is genuine or a fraud. I am 78. I would request your reputed organization to guide me whether the prize is genuine or not. Without your clearance, I will not act further. If it is not genuine, you will be held responsible to take action under my information. If I do not hear back from your end in response to my this email, I will strongly alert my FaceBook, WhatsApp circle again and again that such scams are taking place in the name Naptol. And that would spoil your reputation.
