I submit to state that the following few lines for your kind consideration and favorable reply and action against the goons at vikaravandi - tamilnadu toll plaza.
I am r. Manoharan s/o. T. P. Rajamanickam residing at the above address and working as a head constable in the railway protection force, southern railway, chennai. On 02/04/2018 i travelled by my car (Registration no. Tn-01-ap-1433) to villupuram from chennai and passed by vikaravandi toll plaza, they stopped my car and asked toll tax.
I explained that i am a force person, working in railway protection force, southern railway, chennai and proceeding to villupuram on duty with second dress (Civil) and also explained that as per the letter of national highways authority of india lt. No. Nhai/1013/it/hq/2017, dt. 06/12/2017. I am eligible for toll exemption under armed force quota and showed the letter and also stated that government of india declared that railway protection force (Rpf) & railway protection special force (Rpsf) were an armed force of the union.
Even though they won't permit to pass the toll plaza. One mr. Ashok kumar, s/o. Jayaraman told that he was the manager & authorised person in the vikaravandi toll plaza and argue me in local language in rude manner in the presence of public and other toll staff.
In the mean time they showed a letter to me, which was circulated by national highways authority of india, lt. No. Nil, dt. 01/06/2017, as per this letter rpf & rpsf is not a force, it is only for defense persons, so you must pay the toll tax, finally they charged an amount of rs. 75+75=150/- for up & down charges, vide receipt. No. 2487 @ 11:39:53 on 02/04/218 and receipt no. 777 @ 19:50:44 on 02/04/2018.
In other toll plaza's were collected rs. 45/- for light vehicle (Car) for single journey, but the vikaravandi toll plaza were collected rs. 75/- for single journey. I asked them to collect the excess fare instead of rs. 45/- they refused to give proper answer.
So i here with enclosed the copy of my toll receipts up & down and a letter circulated by national highways authority of india lt. No. Nhai/11013/it/hq/2017 dt. 06/13/2017. And a copy of vikaravandi toll plaza lt no. Nil dt. 01/06/2017. For your kind perusal.
Due to this i brought the matter to your knowledge for clarification and issue suitable instruction to me whether we got toll exemption or not. And also take necessary action against the toll plaza staff of vikravandi, particularly against mr. Ashok kumar, manager/ in charge of the plaza. I am waiting for a your earliest response.
