National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — Double toll tax taken despite of having balance in fastag

Dear Sir,

I am R.K. Srivastava and my car number is RJ14 NC 5994. With profound disappointment I want to inform you that I had a very bad experience with toll plazas while travelling from Jaipur to Ahmedabad.

My fastag had Rs 1435. On 22nd July, I recharged my fasttag with Rs 1000. On 23rd July morning, we started for Ahmedabad. On the first toll (Thikariya), my fasttag showed blacklist when scanned. Toll plaza people said that I don’t have balance. We contacted 1033 and executive there said that we have enough balance and nothing is wring with our account. Ad toll people didn’t listen to us, we had to pay double cash to them which was Rs140 instead of 70. At the second toll plaza also, our tag showed blacklist. We called 1033 immediately and executive from there spoke to toll plaza person. After waiting there for more than 30 minutes, we had to pay double amount there also. This happened at 5 more toll plazas. The moment we entered Gujarat, amount deducted from our fast tag. At both of toll plazas of Gujarat, amount was deducted from our fastag and that means it was working fine.

We have paid double amount at 7 toll plazas. I am more than 70 years old and at every place I came in contact with so many people during this pandemic. My time to reach Ahmedabad increased drastically due to this issue which I didn’t face at Gujarat.
I spoke to 1033 executives but not getting satisfactory response as everyone is giving a different reason. So I am raising my complaint here.

All I want is my money which has been deducted in a wrong manner and a resolution as I will be travelling back to Jaipur soon and I don’t want to face the same issue again.

I have attached all the receipts for your reference.

My fasttag had Rs435 already. On 22nd July, I recharged with Rs 1000 and total balance became 1435.
