National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — overcharging and poor service | |||||
I have Fastag purchased thru IDFC Bank. Highly disappointed by the service provided by the toll plazas. They don't want this fastag to be a successful way of paying tolls. They create all the hurdles... 1. At the Lembalakudi Toll plaza between Karaikkudi and Pudukottai Though I travelled thru within 24 hours, instead of charging a return fee, they charged me 2x single journey fee... 2. At the Tindivanam Pondicherry toll plaza, the FAstag lane was closed with a barrier, so I had to drive thru the normal lane. But the attendant at the booth objected that why I am coming thru Cash lane. I said the lane is closed, then he says the security has gone for a tea break, and I should wait till he comes back or I should have honked!!!. I refused to go back, and had to argue for 10 minutes, then he brought a handheld reader and after scanning the tag, let me thru after 15 minutes... Almost in every toll plaza, the attendants are purposely delaying the fastag vehicles, so that next time you donot prefer fastag... this is the status of toll plazas... To hell with Fastag I strongly recommend everybody and anybody not to go for fastag Was this information helpful? | |||||
