Hello Team, I have applied for name change in PAN after my marriage. I have filled online form and send it to PAN office of Pune (Received at their end: 05/Dec/2015) and they are not processing my application and providing me invalid reason each time. Providing below reasons or discrepancy in my application 1.) Out of two photographs, the photo to be affixed without any signature on it has not been provided. We request you to kindly submit recent colour photograph (3.5 cm *2.5 cm) on a separate paper. Please do not sign across this photo. My side: i have filled application form and affixed two passport size photos on form one with signature across and one without signature. I have sent passport size photo without signature ( same photo which i have provided in application) 2.)Photograph provided is not proper for scanning. (Photo folded/ Photo with dark specs/ Small size of Photograph/ Photo Stapled/ Faint Photo/side face photo. We request you to kindly submit recent colour photograph (3.5 cm *2.5 cm) on a separate paper. Please do not sign across this photo. My side: I have provided same photo which i have affixed in my application form still they are providing this kind of excuse. After this i have again post my newly recent passport size photo (3.5 * 2.5) and sent it to PAN office. 3.)Your request for 'New PAN card and/or Change/Correction in PAN Data' cannot be processed as PAN provided by you does not belong to you as per Income Tax Department (ITD) database. Kindly provide proof of PAN. A letter dated 08-Jan-2016 communicating the same is being / has been despatched to you. For clarifications contact TIN Call Centre at[protected]. My Side: What is this? i dont understand. I have checked my PAN data on Income tax department database online using below link. https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/Services/KnowYourPanLink.html Please see attached scrren shot of ITD database. cross verify using above link. it is showing correct information and it belongs to me. it is my PAN card. I am regular tax payer and i am filing ITR for last 3-4 years using same PAN card. how can they provide this kind of status. I have also called on number they provide in status. They said we are not aware we have sent discrepancy letter please wait for 2 days, you will receive letter and reason mention in it. Please check this on priority.
