[Resolved]  Nestaway Technologies — Move out policy, alert, inspection delay

Want to raise complaint on 2 topics as below:

Move out intimation policy : There’s a policy for tenants that the move out intimation should be given 45 days in advance. I have few reservations on this:
If there’s already an agreement signed of the end date/moving out date, then should we really have this clause, process if at all the tenant is continuing the stay till agreement ends.
Having such intimation clause makes more sense if the tenant would want to move out before the agreement date or would like to extend the stay. Do you agree.
I have gone through the policy and observed that the policy had been designed in view of pandemic (COVID-19) scenario. Pandemic is a history now. In normal scenario whether 45 days intimation is really needed or it should be 30 days? In my view, 30 days intimation is good enough. This is very critical as it has been linked to the deposit.


Alert/Intimation to tenant : Referring this policy of 45 days, is it possible to trigger an auto-mail to the tenants providing an alert mentioning your house is due to vacate after 45 days and you need to raise a request accordingly otherwise the deposit money will be deducted.


You may be aware that most the tenants who use NESTAWAY properties are students, employees and few of them could be serving some internship, or searching the job etc. Everyone who utilizes the NESTAWAY property has left the home (their Nest) for some reason and NESTAWAY helping them to find good accommodations. Even though NESTAWAY is earning money, in my view this is sort of a social service which NESTAWAY is doing for this community. And I would really appreciate personally for initiating such venture. However, the policies designed and linked with deposit deduction might defame the overall objective. I will be losing around Rs. 3260/- in the overall transaction. The amount might not looking too fat, however I’ve developed a feeling of cheating. Even though the policy is illogical and if I would want to respect the same, then why NESTWAY didn’t initiate me on this and suggested to raise a move out request. Whether NESTAWAY is utilizing this policy to earn extra money by letting tenants be unaware on the policy, no initiation and further deduct the money from deposit.

I would really want to take up this as a social cause so that other tenants benefits if NESTAWAY treats this feedback positively.

I raised move out request 30 days in advance. The move out date was 1st Jan and time slot set was 11am to 12pm. Nobody visited from Nestaway to complete the formality. I started chasing after 12pm, instead of arranging a visit, they changed the time slot to 3pm without notifying me.
This is rediclous.

p.s. At one point of time, I had also got a positive response from Sejal that we can do something about it and she suggested to hold on raising the move out request in App. However, Anandita later communicated that nothing can happen. Then I raised the request of move out.
