I am staying in Nestaway property number 27598 since July 2018. As per my original agrrement my notice period for a move out was 10 days, also as per the original agreement it was mentioned that apart from 5% increase in rent no other clauses are subject to change from year on year.
In May 2020 my agreemnt was renewed second time. In the agreement NestAway had changed notice period to 30 days. So I raised service request SC_02278415, where Nestaway confirmed that it was due to technical mistake and my notice period would remain 10 days. I have attached copy of the service request.
Also, the recent agreement clause 9, clearly states that none of the terms of the agreement can be changed without getting it in writing with consent of both the parties.
However, in Sept end Nestaway sent email saying Notice period has been changed to 45 days from Oct 2, without asking for any consent from me.
When I raised service ticket CC_08458190 to enquire about same they gave lame excuses saying due to covid situation we are restricting movement. When I told them about the current sitution that with government relaxing all travel norms.
They mentioned about owners inability to pay back money in short notice. I even agreed to wait for 45 days to get the refund that facilitates owner to arrange money, however notice period charges should not be charged for more than 10 days.
But Nestaway agents just repeats same statement that I will be charged notice period of 45 days. This is just unprofessional. Nestaway barely gives any service, but definitely gives a lot of heart burn. Frustrated and fianlly planning to move out of Nestaway.
Bottom line is I am ready to wait for refund for 45 days but Nestaway should settle my advance as per notice period mentioned in original agreemnt. Was this information helpful? |
