Nestaway Technologies — Security Deposit not refunded, false charges | |||
I had booked rental house in Bangalore through Nestaway on January 2021, and paid all charges and security deposit, (Total 47000 which includes security deposit 33700, on-boarding charges 7500, society charges 2000, token 2000). When I moved, I found many items to be in not working/ broken, and i complained to the Area Manager to rectify the same. Major items in this list are kitchen chimney not working, one kitchen stove knob not present, kitchen sink tap not working/leaking, balcony door handle broken, main door peephole, light not working not present . Even after asking so many times to the area manager, these things were not fixed in spite of taking such huge charges while i moved in. Also Nestaway must have recovered additional amount from previous tenant who left the house in a very dirty state. So till the last day ie 8 july 21 when i handed over the keys, these items were not fixed and I had paid full rent throughout. I was not able to use kitchen, use sink tap, close balcony door, throughout the stay and they did not bother to fix the issues Now Nestaway comes to inspect property and in the inspection report they falsely mention that I was responsible for the damage to these items. I had also clearly mentioned to the Inspecting person that these items were already damaged but still he applied false charges on the report. I also informed the nestaway area manager of the same as he already knows that these were already damaged and he told that he will check but nothing happened. Of the Rs 33700 that I had to get refunded as security deposit, i got only Rs 18956 and Rs 18220 was the false charges that had been applied. (18220 includes - Kitchen chimney 12000, room door repair 2000, kitchen tap repair 1500, kitchen gas stove repair 900, kitchen light holder 230, living light holder 690, house cleaning 900). Such high charges for items which I was not able to use but instead i need to compensated additionally as I paid full rent and was not able to use. This is how the Nestaway is harassing customers by taking money from previous tenant and new tenant also and not repairing anything. They are also not replying to any tickets and mails. I have also found many other user on social media who have faced many refund issues and not resolved. Please help to get back full due amount (18220) from such a fraudulent company.
