I had made an advance payment on the 7th of july and scheduled the movers and packers for the 14th on july 2020 in mumbai for shifting intracity from tardeo to panvel.
I made multiple calls for getting details of the agent for the movers and packers all no broker customer care agents kept saying they will ask someone to get in touch with me.
Two days prior to the shifting they blocked my mobile number.
I started calling from other nos to have someone get me details of the scheduled move. They kept saying someone will get back, all false. Noone got back
I must have made close to 100+ calls.
They then sent me an email one day prior to the move confirming the same, however didn't give no of the movers and packers agency and sent customer care no (Check attachment)
I had to book another movers and packers on urgent basis at an exorbitant price if rs 15000 more as i had no option.
After all this a no broker agent called me on the day of ahiting itself to ask how is the shifting going on and i told him what had happened and that i am going to the consumer forum for justice. He said he will escalate the matter and get my refund done. Very conveniently he sent me an email stating that i cancelled the booking and that token will be refunded when it was a clear case of no show by the movers and packers. I haven't got any refund yet
This is a scam of an agency. No one point contact and different people answer calls. They stop answering calls once they get advance.
I demand a fair compensation for the mental and financial stress we went through during the lockdown. Multiple calls, scams and clueless agents and paying a bomb for urgent shifting.
