Nobroker — nobroker interiors misleading pricing, sudden cost hikes & refund not issued

I would like to file a complaint against NoBroker Interior Services for unethical practices, misleading commitments, and a complete lack of transparency during my interior design project onboarding process.

I paid a 5% booking amount of ₹57, 050 based on verbal and written assurances that prices shared were final and already on the higher side. However, immediately after payment, several costs were arbitrarily increased without prior disclosure.

Major Issues Faced:
Price Increases After Payment: Design fees were increased by 20%, electrical point charges and false ceiling costs were inflated with no justification.

Misleading Commitments: Items included in the original scope were quietly removed; wardrobe sizes were reduced for “cost-cutting, ” but final prices still went up.

False Ceiling & Lighting Charges: These were initially presented as standard inclusions. Only post-payment was I informed of inflated, separate charges for them.

Lack of Clarity on Pantry and Dresser Units: Details were misrepresented or withheld to push payment quickly.

Unfair Post-Payment Adjustments: After compromising on design to reduce cost, any further modification led to disproportionate charges.

Despite repeated follow-ups, I have received no resolution or transparency. Given this misleading conduct, I am formally demanding a full refund of ₹57, 050. If not resolved within a reasonable time, I will escalate the issue to consumer forums, social media platforms, and appropriate legal channels.

I urge others to be extremely cautious before engaging with NoBroker Interiors.
