Bought OKINAWA electric two wheeler Vehicle model R-30 on 9th Nov 2023.
The Vehicle and the battery was working fine for nearly 5 months till April 2024.
In May 2024, the issue started showing the charging the battery.
When battery is kept for charging, the charging stops after 15-20 min.
1. Not knowing whether it was a battery or a charger issue, we took both battery and charger into the sales/service center.
We explained the issue and both battery and charger was collected. The battery was send to the battery inspection center.
The battery was send back to the service center after 10-15 days and it was informed battery had no issues. The battery was charged successfully in the workshop.
However after bringing back the battery and charger when we tried to charge, the same issue was observed. The charging stopped after 15 min.
2. We again took both the battery and the charger to the service center. The battery was again sent to the battery inspection center. It was informed there was some issue in the
battery cells and they have rectified the same. the battery was send back to the service center after 7-10 days. The battery was charged successfully in the workshop.
Again when we tried to charge the battery, the same issue re-occurred. The charging stopped after 15 min.
3. Third time we took again the battery and charger to the service center. This time both the charger and battery was sent for check. It was then informed to us, there is some issue in
charger. They have fixed the issue and it shall work fine. This took again 10-15 days. the battery was successfully charged in the service center however once we brought and tried it we got the same problem.
We have used the 20 Amp power connection to charge. But the same issue occurs. We also have tried to use the power connection which is used to charge other electric vehicles.
However charging of other vehicles work fine but Okinawa battery charging stops after 15 min.
Its been 4 time we are visiting the service center and every time some solution is provided to us which does not work. From last 2 months we are running behind them but no resolutions yet.
As the team is not able to detect the root cause of the issue, we request to exchange both battery and charger as the vehicle is still under warranty.
