Ola Cabs — Grievance in cab booking

I booked a cab selecting "ride later" option in ola app on last friday (1st july, 2016) from navalur. the scheduled time is 6:45 pm. i received a message, the cab details will be shared 15 mins prior. i was waiting for the from 6:15 pm. i received a call from ola customer care at 6:30 pm, first of all, asking me to confirm whether i want a cab, as some driver has told ola that i have cancelled. but i confirmed that i need a cab. at 6:40 pm, a cab driver called me and told me about the map issue and asked me to cancel the cab. but i couldn't, as there is no other cab available at that time, as i trusted ola. but finally ola cheated me. i tried "ride now" option, finally, i come to know ola's fraudulent business tricks. the cabs are available at higher prices which is not affordable for a middle class people like me. it is 2.5 x higher. finally i took mtc and reached sholinganallur as there is no auto available.in sholinganallur, due to heavy traffic, i tried ola auto, no one responded even though many autos available. i was again cheated by ola. finally i was pushed to take normal auto with higher price.

This i have to mention. i didn't book the cab for luxury. i had more luggage.

I suffered a lot with the luggage in a hurry to catch the train, all because of that i trust ola cab. even i didn't look for micro, 6/km. i went for 12/km cab only.

This fraudulent business of ola is really disgusting.

I had booked for Ola Cabs today and wish to bring to your notice the bitter experience I had to encounter when I had to urgently reach a place scheduled by a time limit. I had booked and got a confirmation message from your end with the following details. Bharath on the way Phone [protected]. I tried calling the driver and he did not take the call as he had switched off his mobile.Next I booked and got a confirmation message that Venkatesh with mobile No.[protected] was on his way and when tried calling him his mobile too was switched off and again I booked and got the details that Vijaya with mobile No.[protected] is on the way. His mobile too was swithced off and within few minutes I got a call from [protected] that a cab was waiting and another call from[protected] and as this was a mobile number of driver it was convenient to take up the ride and the other driver Vijaya called up after boarding Venkatesh vehicle and then cancelled stating that he had no response from me. I got a call for verification +[protected] whether the cancellation was done at driver's instance and that was becoz of no response from me. The fact that the cancellation was done a driver's instance is right but the reason attributed that it was due to no response from me is wrong as I could not take up the ride as the driver was not responding. I even tried calling up customer care No. of hyderabad [protected] but got no response. Very painful to note that I got a message that Rs.50/- would be cut from my next ride when it is your driver who is at fault by switching off their mobiles even after the confirmation message is generated. In an earlier case also after confirming the Ola auto had not turned up and later i receive that the confirmation is cancelled with a simple sentence that the inconvenience caused is regretted. I am afraid if corrective measures are not taken then I may choose another mode of conveyance who renders better and time bound service. I am Pooja, a regular Ola customer and recently I have faced a lot of inconveniences due to the Ola app. My Ola account has been locked for over 2 weeks and I am unable to use it. When I contacted the Ola customer service, they said that they can't provide me with any help or services since I've violated the rules and regulations. As for me, I'm unaware of any such rule breaking that I've done. I operate with two numbers one is for my use and the other is for my daughter's use. I'm really unhappy about this inconvenience caused to both o[censored]s.

Wanted to book a cab on Friday when there was no transportation available. When tried booking it CLEARLY mentioned that there is no ride available so took some other transport vehicle but when i checked my cell after 5 mins a ride had got booked in the background even though i had closed the app. So cancelled the ride, for which ola charged me 50 rupees and sent me a mail specifying the same and in the mail asked a question whether i ha booked that ride to which i answered NO. and they blocked my account. Now i wasn't able to book a ride for my parents who were stranded in a hot afternoon and I was helpless even after putting in around 800 bucks in this ### app. When contacted support at ola and after clearly explaining the situation in which i was, they bluntly said that i would have to draft a mail and after 72 hrs they would consider my case. I really wish that the guys who responded back would face the being helpless for their loved ones.

I have taken a ola cab from shakkar bhavan to signature towers- opp botonical gardens - kondapur- at the time of booking it is shown rs.295/- but an amount of rs.725 is deducted from ola money.
From shakkar bhavan to signature towers it was shown as 295/- as estimated fare - but u have collected rs.725/- which very very un-fair- in fact u have deceived a sincere customer - this tantamounts to cheating

OLA HAS RAISED POST PAID BILL OF Rs. 499.86 in Oct 2017 for a ride THAT I NEVER UNDERTOOK and I have been following up with them since 13 Oct 2017.

Have shared all communications and proofs but now OLA is stating that the issue was not reported in real time so they cannot validate my issue.

My complaint # 574192 of Oct 2017 has also been shared but no resolution.

Seems this is new method of fraud.

How can OLA be so unfair with the customers.
I just want to say a big big thanks to a lucknow ola driver who put so much of efforts when my husband forgot his phone in his cab while going to lucknow amausi airport. He is the most honest driver i've ever met :)

Following are his details.
Today i booked an ola cab for my office .Its initial waiting time was 5 minutes so stared waiting for my cab but it didn't come and after some time time driver called me and asked me for the location as i answered and he said he is on the way but after a second my driver changed and now its waiting time was initially 6 minutes .After one minute I called him as i noticed from GPS service that he is going to opposite direction of mine and waiting time was increasing .i again call him and asked for arrival but he said he is in traffic so it will take him more time to come.As a result of all this i got late for my office and i have to go for another option for going to my office .and when i cancelled this cab thn ola cab charged me cancellation fee also .This is happen not only once to me .
I am a foreign national on eave in this country. Initially, I had no problem in using your service. But then something (I don't what) happened. I would receive instructions to look for a particular vehicle and driver. Then I would get another alert to look for a DIFFERENT vehicle and driver within a matter of minutes. This occurred on at least 2 occasions.

In other case, when I was at the mall, I wasn't sure I entered the hotel's address correctly for the drop off and tried to correct matters. Unfortunately, Ola viewed my correction attempt as a CANCELLATION - which was incorrect. I was charged R50

Last Sunday, a friend dropped me off in a busy area so Ola would have an easier time finding me (driver had great difficulty delivering me to destination). The first driver CANCELLED the ride. I received notice that I wouldn't be charged.

I'm now in my hotel room without means to do as I would like, because MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN BLOCKED - STILL! I've waited more than 24 hours for problem to remedy itself, but that hasn't happened. Please advise how & when issue will be addressed. [protected]@outlook.com

I am Abha Dubey, a new customer of ola cab. I have booked only 3 rides and it was satisfactory and service was nice with reasonable fare. I didn't cancel any ride.But from tomorrow I am unable to book cab.
I received a message that my account is blocked due to violation of ola policy. As for me, I'm unaware of any such rule breaking that I've done. As I am a single parent I felt safe to ride in ola cab at any time. As yesterday I need cab in early morning at 4:30am but my account was blocked. It was very inconvenient.Please unblock my account as soon as possible.

Hi Team,
I booked a cab for Bangalore airport from hongasandra location on 17th Feb 2021.
Charge was 830 rupees but driver demanded 930 rupees which I paid through phonepe.

The amount 930rupees had been deducted twice from my account but when I called to driver he was not responding properly.

You guys dnt have proper customer support system.
Am attaching the screenshot for the same and waiting for a solution from your end.

Arrange a call back for the same as you dnt have customer care number.

On 5th June I booked a cab for Vasai. Car details: Prive SUV - Grey Ertiga (CRN[protected]), Driver name as per OLA details : Vijay Prakash Nehru Singh. However, in real driver name was Priyank Patel. Ride Amount : 1215/-

1. firstly, Name mismatch as per OLA details, but the driver was someone else.
2. I opted for Ola postpaid option
3. Driver said that, OLA is a facing technical issues with online payment and said that drivers are not receiving payments through OLA, however he asked me to pay cash.
4. After ride ended I saw my postpaid amount has been deducted, but still driver asked for cash and promised that he will apply for postpaid refund from his end, if it does not work then he will return my cash back through phonepay or any other money transfer app.
5. Priyank patel gave me his personal contact number to chase if money is not refunded by OLA : [protected]/ [protected].
6. I started chasing from very next day and he was just saying that he raised a complaint with OLA and it will get refunded soon, but it had never happened, so finally I started sending emails to OLA from 20th June and since I have no response till now, no resolution.
7. Driver have stopped receiving my call now and stopped responding to my messages. When I tried calling from other numbers then he started blocking all the numbers. as an when I got connected with him and had chance to talk, he abused me by giving bad words and even abused my mom.

This is really pathetic, driver is cheating on passengers and Ola is supporting those cheaters. I haven't received any resolution nor single call from Ola. Driver misbehave, cheat, abuse, they do everything and Ola gives no support to there members at all. You people do not deserve to run a business and should close asap, else you people have to face the consequences from customers like me and we will make sure to spread words as much as possible.
