This complaint is regarding a fraud committed against me on 8th June 2021 through OLX app. A person named SANTOSH KUMAR having contact number [protected] agreed to purchase a set of books on OLX with AD ID: [protected] for a sum of Rs.6000.
He told me to "mark as sold" the AD on OLX as he is interested to buy. Then he called me and asked me the address from where he can pick up the books. After I told him the address, he sent one QR code and said that I'll pay you Rs.2 using this QR code and I scanned it but i did not enter UPI ID and he made payment using Paytm. Then he said now you have to scan the QR code the same way and i'll pay you Rs.6000
I scanned the QR code sent by him and then he asked me to click on pay and enter my UPI ID so that the money could be transferred to my account. This way he took Rs.12, 000 from me. By the time I asked him to send me my money back he sent another QR code and told to scan it twice.
Like this he took a total sum of Rs. 52, 050 from me.
Please file a complaint against the fraud and accept my request for the return of my hard earned money.
