One97 Communications — paytm irctc failed transaction - money not refunded | |||
Today at around 7:00 PM I booked two tickets for my sister and mother using IRCTC Rail Connect App. I chose to pay the amount of Rs. 630 using PayTM because my debit card is saved in the PayTM app. After I entered the Bank OTP, an amount of Rs. 642.38 got deducted from by account and transferred to PayTM Noida (screenshot attached). But finally, PayTM did not transfer the money to IRCTC and the ticket booking failed. (screenshot attached). When I called PayTM customer care number[protected] to report the issue and request a refund, I was told by a computer voice that in case a transaction failed, my money will be refunded to my wallet after 30 minutes. I also received an SMS regarding the same. (screenshot attached). When even after 1 hour, I did not receive a refund, I called their supposedly 24x7 customer care number multiple times to reach a customer executive but all I heard was computer voices. Shame! Even https:// paytm.com/care was also not of any help because no order id was registered by the paytm app for the transaction. I do not know if I will ever get a refund. If I don't, I will never trust PayTM again. I am attaching all the screenshots here for all of you to go through. I do not know if PayTM is doing such frauds in a planned manner.
