I have recently booked a 3 pax room with the above referred facility with Check in dates as 31 Oct – 01 Nov 2021.
Unfortunately, I was unable to use the facility as the property was against all my expectations and hopes. In my last 30-35 years of business and personal life, I never had encountered a “Hotel” experience in any country or place I have visited, whereby, I do not have words in my vocabulary to explain how horrible, horrifying and disappointing, it was.
With much difficulty to find the hotel, we reached the place about 6:30 pm on the day. It was in a so much congested and shady area where people even cannot walk or even stand on the road or pavements. There was not even space to park a bicycle in front of the facility which I was supposed to stay. The promise was that there are ample FREE vehicle parking spaces in front of the facility. It was so untidy and foul smelling atmosphere all around.
Tried to call them sitting at the vehicle but no one picked up. Tried calling OYO help but it was disconnecting after reaching 2 options that were available as per the IVR (Inter-active Voice Response) facility.
After waiting and failed phone calls, I decided to go into the reception area. The entrance area was not at all visible from outside. With much difficulty had tried to reach the reception. None was available there to attend me nor to take phone calls.
There was foul smell all around inside the place.
Some weird/scary looking persons were around the place but they offered No Help.
After waiting around half hour, had desperately returned from the place and found another decent Hotel in the city and stayed there for the night.
After an hour or so, had tried to call on the numbers available once again (both on the hotel as available on the booking confirmation and on the OYO Helpline) but was of no use. Nothing was able to be conveyed nor anything was able to bet resolved. After about a hour, was able to talk to one person at the facility but was not able to understand anything which I tried to talk in English language nor in any other language, possible. (It was mentioned on the booking confirmation that they can speak my own language, in case I do not know any other!)
I strongly urge someone from OYO to interfere urgently and make sure that these guys refund my money in full. I have paid Rs: 1, 458/ on 29th October 2021 with a booking reference number: “H1TW6729’
So disappointing and disgusting a place to try staying in if everyone wants to go that town!!!
Do let me know in case you require any additional information in this regard.
N.B: Please try not to sell these king of places to your prospective guests, which may surely damage your Goodwill and Fame and eventually to lose the trust that OYO have got in the customer minds.
