[Resolved]  Oyo Rooms — 100% Cancellation Charges Deducted.

Booked a hotel room at OYO 44156 Hotel Ananya, New Digha. Booking ID FIDZ3475
Check-in June 10 2022, Check Out- June 14, 2022.
No. of Rooms: 1, Deluxe.
Total Charges : RS. 11838/-
Advance Paid: RS. 11838/-

I received a SMS from VM-OYORMS on 9th June at 22.30 HRS saying that Due to Unavoidable circumstances we need to change your Booking to another hotel. Please select your new Hotel .. a Link was given, but nothing came after clicking the link.
I tried to contact their customer support no. [protected] but either the phone went un-answered or when I could get through the customer agent they said they will transfer to service people who will handle my case, but always I was kept on long holds without any answer.
In the mean time when i clicked on the link on the sms they had send i found out that my booking had been shifted to a different hotel SPOT ON 70512 Hotel TARUTAT, Shankarpur, Tajpur which I found out was around 6-7 KMS far from the Hotel Ananya Which I had booked with 100% Advance.

I desperately tried to contact their support no. But could not get through.
so I had no option except that to cancel my booking as the Hotel which was provided as an alternate to my booking was not acceptable to me & my family.

So Finally I decided to Cancel the Booking .

After Cancellation came the Surprise Element, I saw that they Claimed the whole booking amount as cancellation charges i.e. RS. 11838/-

The whole thing was planned, The SMS Reaching me at 22.30 HRS[So Late in the Night, Just Few Hours Before My CHECK-IN], No Response or one can say a negative response from Customer Support, Then Providing a different Hotel Far Away From the Booked Hotel. In these circumstances any Consumer will Think of Cancelling the booking which is what OYO also wanted .

All this was done to force me to Cancel my booking so that they can Eat my whole Booking Amount.

Come on OYO grow up this is not the ethical way to Earn Money by cheating Consumers.

In fact I lost More than above amount . I had to cancel My Family Trip to Digha as in this peak season going to Digha without a Hotel Booking is not Recommended specially for a Family.

I had 4 Confirmed AC CC Train Tickets from Kolkata to Digha & Back.
Since I had to Cancel these tickets also, I lost quite a Good amount in cancelling these tickets.

OYO Has Cheated ME. & spoiled my Family Holiday.

Desirable Resolution: Want my 100% Booking amount of RS. 11838/-.

Also I sent them a complaint by Email[[protected]@oyorooms.com], against which I Received a response with Ticket NO. 28428585, received response on 10/06/2022 at 12.09 AM
But till date no reply/response either by mail or Phone received from their side.

I have Received the Full Amount of RS. 11838/- which was deducted as cancellation charges.
