The worst OYO experience of my life. One of the filthiest rooms you'll find in an oyo. My whole stay was a big nightmare. It started with them charging me extra for early check-in even though I tried to explain to them that Oyo had a complimentary check-in policy from 10AM. Coming to the rooms, they are claustrophobic, filthy and probably never vaccumed for a long time. The bedsheet and bathroom were dirty too. But since I was in an urgency I decided to go with it. When I went out and came back, my room had no electricity and I had to wait for around half an hour for someone to come fix it while I sat there sweating like a pig. There was no one available at the reception all that time and I had to contact OYO to resolve the issue, and that too after one executive left after putting me on hold. I decided to give them one last chance even after all this. That's when the Air conditioner started malfunctioning. You can imagine my plight in the middle of Chennai heat. I was really frustrated. I contacted OYO customer care to complain regarding this issue and the absence of staff and share my concern with regard to the early check in. The executive put me on conference call with the property manager who talked very arrogantly and said that it was not his problem if the power was not there and I should adjust. That was the final nail in the coffin for me. I decided to check-out of that place and suddenly the receptionist (who disappeared for a long time) comes with the phone and hands it over to me. It was the guy who checked me in earlier in the morning. He talked in a threatening manner and said that if I complain, the receptionist will be in trouble since he was not present there when I needed him. After a heated conversation, he asked me to do whatever I want after paying the balance due. I contacted oyo again to ask if I paid at the hotel now, will I get a refund later, since I did not even stay there. The executive told me he'll forward me a link in which I can claim refund (which I haven't received yet). I had to pay Rs. 1024/- for nothing. I did not even spend 4 hours at that place. I should have read the reviews beforehand! I'm surprised OYO hasn't taken this place down even after so many negative reviews. Maybe OYO standards have really gone down as they say. I hope this complaint reaches the authorities and the needful action is taken.
