I had a booking for OYO Capital O Cloud Mist Hotel, Mahableshwar for May 17, 2019 with 20 days prior booking with full payment paid. Yesterday, May 13th, I called up the hotel for 2nd confirmation and he announced to have no tie-up with OYO.
Right in next moment, I called up OYO customer service and the customer care employees were still claiming to have confirm booking. On explaining for like 30 mins, and 2 call transfers, they agreed to have broken tie-up.
I was told to select another hotel with hell degraded services because of no availability.
With n number of calls from 8 PM to 2:30 PM, I didn't get any solution.
Finally I made a decision to change the destination and requested to book Discover Resorts, Karjat. OYO booked the same hotel for me saying it as an so called "UPGRADE", the mail is asking me to pay more of 10k. Since today morning 6:50 AM, I have being calling customer care and I am made to wait to disconnect after 10-15 mins of hold.
I am told that the Approval from Operations department is pending. It can't take 24 hours to take an Approval inside the same company even if placed Overseas.
I am genuinely disappointed. My friend has flight booking from Bangalore and I have to book Tatkal tickets tomorrow morning as the destination is changed.
