My family members are traveling from Indore (M.P.) to Mussoorie (U.P.). They had booked a hotel in Mussoorie and entire room rentals are been paid in advance. They were to check in today (i.e. March 18, 2022) and as an intimation to hotelier they called to update about their arrival time. However, they got shocked after hotelier informed them that there booking has been cancelled by hotelier and the same has been updated to OYO Rooms. Oyo Rooms has never communicated about cancellation to us. After, hearing the news, we reached out to OYO, however, solutions provided by executive are useless which is reflected from his suggestion of initiating full refund and asking us to book the hotel again. There has been huge difference in the rentals between the price at which we had booked earlier vs current rentals. This is such a disgraceful experience with OYO. Had we been intimated atleast three days before, we could have figured out the alternatives. My family members are new to the city and because of this last minute cancellation by OYO/ Hotelier, it would really be difficult for them to find accomodation. Further, Mussoorie being tourist spot, current rentals have increased significantly since the time we had booked. There would be huge loss to us in the form of differential amount, hence we request team for early solution on the issue. Requesting OYO to just stand to its committment.
