[Resolved] Oyo Rooms — extra charges than the booking amount | |
Dear sir, This is to bring to your notice that, I had a booking on 25. Mar.2019 at saharanpur. Oyo 29028 hotel rajpushp, booking id: ldqu7863 @ room tariff is rs.1121 /- and this tariff is Inclusive of: complimentary breakfast, free wifi, service charges and central & state goods & services tax. When i asked for bill at the hotel counter, the hotel owner gave me two options. Option - i Pay 12% gst on your booking amount and take bill. Option - ii Take a bill of less than 1000/- and no need to pay gst. I argued with them and shown them oyo booking conformation mail received on 23. Mar.2019 where it is clearly stated that, Room tariff is rs.1121 /- and this tariff is Inclusive of: complimentary breakfast, free wifi, service charges and central & state goods & services tax. Finally they disagree and therefore i had called to oyo customer care, my service request number is 14036054. Costomer care and hotel owner has a conversation with no result and finally i had paid 12% gst extra. This is monopoly and black mail. This hotel is not having power back up and there was a power cut in the evening and i was forced to sit inside the room in darkness. They dont have any emergency lighting system. I have two different bills for the same room, same date & time same guest, same city, same hotel. One from oyo rooms for rs. 1121/- which is inclusive of all the taxes (Room rent is rs. 1001 & gst is rs.120/-) and another bill from the hotel for rs. 1256/- with 12% extra gst. (Rom rent rs.1121 & gst rs.125/-) by this i have paid gst of 120+125 = rs. 245 /- which should be for a room rent of rs.2042/-. I raised this issue to oyo room by e. Mail: [protected]@oyorooms.com The response received is very strange. Oyo is claiming that, rs.125/- has been charged extra for providing me an extra bed. I had booked a classic room with 2 bed for one guest. When i have booked a room for one person, and 2 beds are already there, what shall i do with the 3rd bed. Oyo's claim of providing extra bed is false. Oyo is the 1st hotel chain in the whole universe who charge 12 % extra gst on providing extra bed. Was this information helpful? | |
