I, had booked a room in Bangalore on OYO (Booking no: HOYD4078, Hotel Park Inn) for me and my wife on 15th Dec 2015 for a check-in date of 20th Dec 2015. I would like to put forth the following harrowing experience I had: After reaching the hotel at around 2:30pm, the receptionist told me to wait for sometime and called someone from OYO and told them that all the rooms are filled and no rooms are available. She failed to inform me the same and I waited like a fool for half an hour. It is only when I asked her that she informed me that the rooms are full and that I will be transferred to another hotel. No message/call from OYO was received by me in this sudden change of plan. It is only after I called OYO that I was told that the booking has been transferred to another hotel(HOYD4078 Hotel Apollo Green). My request for a cab booking by OYO since I did not know the place and lots of luggage was turned down by OYO. The other hotel was 1 km away and address given by OYO was not proper. No landmarks nearby was given. So I decided to call the other hotel(Hotel Apollo Green) for the address. To my shock the receptionist responded by saying that my room booking is cancelled and I have been transferred to another hotel which he did not know and I have to call OYO. The person refused to be identified. I called OYO for a clarification regarding the same and I was asked to be on hold until I get a clarification from the hotel. I waited for around 15mins on hold and had to cut the call since I was low on balance. All this while I am waiting on the road with my luggage for a callback from OYO which I did not get, nor did I receive any email confirmation regarding the same. I had no choice but to leave to Kempegowda bus station with all my luggage as my wife had a return ticket at 10:15pm, with no clarity on status of my booking, I had to wait in the bus stand. At around 7:00pm I receive a call from hotel Apollo Green asking me when is my check-in time for a room that was supposed to be cancelled. From the previous experience I had with Hotel Apollo Green receptionist, I feared that when I reach the hotel with all my luggage, I will again be told that my room had been cancelled and I will have to look for another hotel. Me and my wife had to sit in the bus stand till 10:30pm despite booking a room from OYO. Today morning I called OYO at 7:37am accounting the harrowing experience I had and I was told that the matter is being escalated and I will get a callback in half-an hour. The time is now 9:00am and I have not received any call-back from OYO. You have 15 days time to respond to this mail as to why I had to go through all of this despite having booked and confirmed accommodation, after which legal proceeding will be initiated against you. PS: I have recorded all mobile conversations with OYO/ Hotel Apollo Green in this matter.
