I had got a booking done with OYO rooms between 5th oct 2015 to 9 oct 2015 for 02 rooms. I was provided with a confirmation sms and given an booking id KMEI142, with payments to be made at the time of checkin. i even confirmed it with the hotel and the hotel confirmed and they confirmed me the booking(done by Mr. Praladh singh, front office manager ) of hotel keshv ahemadabad. To my shock when i contacted OYO rooms to recheck my hotel booking, as i had a bad experience with them in the past in july 2015, when my booking was transfered to another hotel in pune with informing me, i was told that my booking for ahemadabad was not confirmed as the hotel had no rooms. i again contacted the hotel Keshav and its front office manager confirmed me that he had rooms and will honor the OYO rooms booking for which he even sent a mail to me. When i got back to OYO rooms that the hotel has rooms and it has confirmed it to me on mail, they suddenly changed their earlier position that the hotel had no rooms to that you have to make the payment in advance. But when i told them that as per my booking status it was already there that the payment will be madeat the time of checkin. How can i believe them that i will have my booking there in the same hotel. OYO rooms has no care for there written confirmation and care the least, even there cancellation policy states that as mentioned under:

For bookings up to 3 rooms -
Cancellation Time Cancellation Fee
24 hours or more prior to check-in time FREE Cancellation (100% refund)
Less than 24 hours before check-in time One night’s booking amount
In case you decide to cancel a part of the booking while already checked-in, the same policy as above applies depending on when you inform us about the cancellation of remaining room nights.
For bookings of 4 or more rooms -
You need to pay at least 25% of the booking amount as advance to make a booking for 4 rooms or more.
Cancellation Time Cancellation Fee
45 days or more prior to check-in date FREE Cancellation (100% refund)
Between 30 to 45 days of check-in date 50% advance amount
Less than 30 days of check-in date 100% advance amount
In case you decide to cancel a part of the booking while already checked-in, no refund is applicable for the cancelled room nights.

How to Cancel
You can cancel your bookings using our website or mobile app. You can also call us on [protected] to cancel your booking. The applicable refund amount will be credited to you within 3 working days.
EARLY CHECK-IN AND LATE CHECK-OUT
Early Check-in (subject to availability) -
Our standard check-in time is 12 noon. Early check-in is subject to availability and cannot be confirmed in advance. Extra charges will apply as per the below policy: per room rates of previous day.
Check-in Time Early Check-in Charges
Before 6 AM 100% charges for one day payable as per room rates of the previous day
Between 6 AM and 10 AM 30% charges payable as per rooms rates of the previous day or Rs. 500, whichever is higher.
Between 10 AM and 12 Noon Complimentary
Late Check-out (subject to availability) -
Our standard check-out time is 11 AM. Late check-out is subject to availability and cannot be confirmed in advance. Extra charges will apply as per the below policy:
Check-out Time Late Check-out Charges
Between 11 AM and 1 PM Complimentary
Between 1 PM and 5 PM 50% charges payable as per rooms rates of the next day or Rs. 500, whichever is higher.
After 5 PM 100% charges payable as per room rates of the next day.
I have to now book another hotel now, i dont know what price i will get it at, but i will want to take this issue with a legal course and make them pay for causing harassment to me and may be hundreds of other customers and make them penalized for the high handed approach of the OYO rooms. It is sheer carelessness of OYO towards customers & I am informing people in my circle about OYO so they dont fall for this trap.
