Oyo Rooms — Fraud in the name of OYO

Hi OYO,

Please go through the pain a customer is going through for his hard earned money.

There is a huge Loophole in your system in reference to my booking id (C9529360) .The incident happened with me on 25th November 2021 and booking was made by me on 25th of November 2021.I got a call from a person name Rahul Singh from Hotel Capital O 28224 Victoria Royal as per him he was so called owner of the hotel and I was asked to pay total amount else my booking would be cancelled. I have only paid 30% at the time of booking.

I was force to pay because the guy was saying my booking would get cancel in case if I wont pay the entire amount as he got bulk order and he will cancel the booking if he don't get the entire amount. In fear of cancellation I agreed to pay as he provided me upi id in name of OYO Rooms.

He gave me UPI ID named [protected]@upi which seemed genuine to me and he said this is Capital O 28224 Victoria Royal's UPI ID.

Still I called OYO to confirm shall I give the entire amount as the property is asking for and customer care agent on another side told me yes you can talk to the person (hotel) and do the payment.

I transferred five thousand at a go as per our discussion but he said the payment got stuck in UPI gateway and you need to transfer again as the difference amount would be refunded, I did the same.

Later on when I tried connecting the person his number was switched off and I was blocked on whats app, I directly called the customer support and nightmare started now .After doing multiple calls I was never transferred to grievance department and call was disconnected every time. At last I decided to file a complain in Consumer forum.

I want my money to be refunded as soon as possible because it is of you today I am caught into such a mess.

My booking details, personal information was leaked by someone among you and there is no one ready to resolve the matter now. Because of this my pocket is pinched and I have paid more than double amount for price of my rooms. One at the hotel and second to the OYO fraud Rahul Singh.

Kindly find the screenshot of the payment and what's app conversation and details of suspected fraud person bellow who got in touch.

Oyo does not authorize any of its employees, consultants, third-party vendors, associates to collect payment in any other form other than payments from secure Oyo gateway and its affiliated OTP payment gateways link.
Any instances where a collection of payment is attempted from any unauthorized payment gateways other than the ones mentioned above are acts of suspicious payment collection. Encountering and acting on the same is solely on your own accord and discretion. Oyo will not be responsible for any loss liability arising out of such an event. Please allow us to get this checked and we will get back to you with an update.

Yes please get it checked and please check your recorded line as well as I was told by one of your employees over the call to do the payment "she should have stopped me but she said talk to the owner and do the payment". Additionally how all my details were leaked if none of your employees or third party or consultant didn't have my information. Please check the above screenshot I was called and whats upped in the name of OYO and money was collected on your behalf, additionally It was confirmed by one of your employees to pay the amount as I called your customer support when I got the call from the fraud person.

You guys need to look into the issue as multiple customers are getting conned .I was one of them and I am duped.

I am nowhere now as my all the details are with him like how much money was paid and how much money is pending. Please look into the matter as after multiple calls I am getting no resolution. Again I got a call from different number on 26th November asking for the same. So yes there is someone from your company who is leaking customers information violation of customers data is going inside your company which should be strictly confidential.

Please get me my money back its a hard earned money.
