[Resolved]  Oyo Rooms — Fraud payment by leaking Booking information

Dear sir,

This is to inform you that i booked hotel (booking id:DNYD2825) through call with OYO executive on 27.03.2021 with partial payment amount INR 1023 (refer screen shot) and executive said you will get confirmation/verification call on later.

On next day i received call from hotel management (mobile no:[protected] .He informed me that you have to pay remaining amount to confirm booking. Please be note that person have all information like partial payment detail which i made, remaining amount, location of hotel, Name of hotel, name of customer etc. Based on information i paid amount of 2658 INR through UPI (refer attached screenshot).

During check in at hotel on 29.03.2021
I came to know at hotel reception that payment has not been received. Person who called me is not available at hotel as well as on call. After many trial of calls and hot discussion with hotel staff I again paid remaining amount to hotel via UPI payment INR 3061 to get room(Refer screen shot) . Later i came to know that first payment of INR 2658 is a fraud payment.

Now question arise that,

Case -1
If person calling from hotel to get remaining payment then why hotel management asking to do repayment

Case-2
If person is not calling from hotel or any other third party then how they had information about my booking with payment details.

In view of above from both the cases its clearly shows that its mistake of OYO/hotel management to leak booking information or not accepting payments.

Customer booking hotel for hassle-free journey. Here i feeled that i made mistake by booking through OYO with advance payment and feeled guilty.

I request to you that please investigate above concern and initiate refund of INR 2658 (refer screen shot).

You need to do better job at data protection
Hello,

I also received a call from Oyo Rooms yesterday at 5.30pm asking us to pay the balance booking amount for the hotel that we booked on Wednesday i.e June 29th. If not they would cancel our booking and we will have to look for another accomodation.

We paid the balance amount to which they said they cannot locate our payment and asked us to resend the amount adding the booking ID for the hotel. They said as soon as you resend the money we will refund the previous amount deducted.

At the end of all of it, our money never got refunded, nor did the hotel recieve any payment.

Would request you to look into this matter immediately as they had all our details wrt booking dates, booking ID, name of the guest, dates for the stay.

We paid around 8k and there is no booking done. Request you to please escalate this and refund our amount.

I've paid the entire amount twice and there is still no booking. My dad has travelled all the way from Mumbai to Kolkata to find out there is no room available. He's 60 plus. I need an answer as to how did they have all our details.
