[Resolved]  Oyo Rooms — Hotel not confirmed but money deducted.

I had booked a hotel in Lucknow on 19th February, 2022. The amount I paid was 2435 using google pay. As soon as I booked the hotel using OYO app, the money got deducted from my bank account but I in the app it showed that transaction is failed. It asked me to pay again. I called customer care and they confirmed that payment has bee made from my end and they are initiating refund, however I did not receive any SMS/Email or even no where in the app it showed that refund has been initiated.
I called them again asking about it they told me to hold for good 5-10 mins and later they cut the call. Every time i try calling them the call gets transferred to new representative and they repeat the same process of asking me to wait and eventually cutting the call.

This is a very negligent behaviour from OYO Rooms, my money was not refunded and neither any confirmation was provided to me that refund has been initiated.

An update on the following complaint, My issue has not been resolved, Yes OYO team connected with me only to confirm that they have not received the amount and asked me to check with my back, I lodged this issue with my bank and have received confirmation from the bank that the amount was credited to OYO Rooms. I have mailed the escalation team with proofs but they were unresponsive. I am attaching all valid documents required to conclude that the amount was credited to OYO Rooms.

Therefore, I request for the last time to look into the case, As it is quite clear that the payment was made and the amount was credited to OYO Rooms.

It has been 49 days and I have waited patiently, If the issue is not resolved in a week from now I will be availing my consumer rights and hence using government consumer forum to lodge official complaint, I will attach INGRAM and Consumer helpline complaint number here.

Update on the complaint : The issue has been resolved by OYO, I have received the amount back.

For people facing the same issue and looking for a solution, this might help -

If the amount has been deducted and the booking has failed, You might receive the money back within 2-3 business days but if that doesn't happen. Immediately raise the concern with your bank and ask them to help you in tracking the amount. If the amount has been credited to beneficiary's account the bank will share a reference number to you, you can forward the same reference to the team which is in touch with you. They will be able to track your amount and return it. Please follow up with them constantly this might take some time.
