OYO has been the worst decision of the biggest day of my life - My Wedding.
I had multiple bookings through OYO for my guests to make sure all of them are placed in he same hotel and things are smooth. For the checkin time of 12pm, my guests arrived at 4pm after which they were first asked to wait for 30 minutes since the rooms were being cleaned. Post this, the receptionist informed them that no rooms are available and they need to find another hotel.
When they further questioned them on this he got into a rough argument and said we need to contact OYO for further assistance. After we raised this issue with OYO, they arranged for a replacement 3 hours later by when the wedding had started. Hence the guests could check-in only after 12am that night (Booking ID: ROLY8342). All this, in-spite of me making the payment in full at least 15 days before the check-in date.
Another room booked on id XUOA9084, I received a notification that the room has been checked-in while the guest were still clicking pictures with me at the wedding. Again, paid in full 15 days before the date. When raised this issue, they fail to disclose the information on who checked into the room if it wasn't my guests.
After all of this I place 8 calls in total through a span of 15 days to bring all of these complaints to their notice and claim a rightful refund for the damage caused, brought it up on the app as well with no response. On the app, the complaint shows 'Resolved' the very next day no matter how many times I reopen the issue.
Worst hotel experience, worst customer service and worst place to put your money. And I would strongly suggest everyone to refrain from using OYO and specifically the OYO Hotel 6825 New Crescent Citadel, Bangalore since they are the most inhospitable people in the Hospitality industry that I have come across so far in my 8 years in hospitality business.
