Hi My name is Benjamin Asir King...

And im a youtube artist
I recently had a video shooting and Recording
In chennai...I had booked a room that was closest to my shooting spot in ECR Chennai...
And i booked the room atleast 10 days in Advance to Suit my Budget during these difficult Pandemic Times...
And yes i booked a room in Chennai
(OYO HOME 41596 BELLA VAGUES -ECR) From 29th NOV 12:00 PM to 30th NOV 11:00 AM.
And i was free that i booked this hotel aldready so i can have an hasslefree stay at oyo just like everytime ive booked an oyo..
So 4 days after my booking...An OYO Representative called me for confirmation regarding my stay...And i said Yes...So I reached chennai and left to the hotel...that was 20 kms away from the Railway station by Cab that cost me 500 rupees...so after a long tiring drive ...reached the hotel...And yes the hotel said our booking was not confirmed thats problem number 1 ...i said him that my booking was confirmed and showed him the message...He showed me on his computer that my name didnt show up...and two minutes after he said that...My phone received a message saying..my booking was cancelled...
I was shocked...And i called up Oyo Customer care..they told me this must be a mistake... (at this point i was aldready tired and looked like a pig because of my 350 km travel and the nivar cyclone was happening and i couldnt bare the low temperature because it was cold and freezing) So the Customer care asked me to book the same room again...And yes i followed their instructions and booked the same hotel room...and the price was the same...So i anyways booked it...and after the booking i showed him him confirmation and he too confirmed on his computer screen ...And here comes problem number 2
He says that the booking uve done is right and confirmed... but you have to pay us 1, 100 rupees ...at this point i was pissed...i clearly planned my trip ...and for the room i had arranged 850 rupees.and now the budget raised to 1, 100 ...And i said i can't pay them that much..and they said please cancel your booking...and i called up Oyo Customer service in which a Woman called Sumi Das spoke to me...( i reached the hotel at 12 and the calls from one representative to another went on till 4 O clock.)
I had wasted four hours talking to the customer care to resolve my issue... After four long hours of struggle... they told me that they had booked another OYO close to the same room...And by close they meant 4 kms away...And due to the sophisticated area...No cabs or Autos or any transport was available so guess what we walked 4kms to the other Hotel room (which you can check in their hotel cctv) that is :-
OYO 7657 India Gate Par View .

After that damn tiring walk of four Kms..With all my luggage...i was almost dead than alive...

I went there 2 floors up...Just to hear that the room that oyo had booked for me was by mistake and that only a room that was worth 1600 rupees was available and i could not pay that much...when i just cancelled an offer for 1100 rupees...And morever as if this stress wasnt enough... this receptionist property manager at India Gate par view his phone number([protected]) he wouldnt give me his id card or name fearing he would get in trouble.. ...with a disgusting smile on his face He asked if me and my friend who is also a guy if we were a couple...That totally means he thought we were gay...And his buddy next to him laughed together with him...and this really pissed me offf...and believe me i did not even have the strength to fight there...i was on my knees and my face was pink because of the weather...so yes i couldnt afford this room too...so i tried many more oyo rooms...and nothing came lesser than 1500 rupees ...so i had to walk back along with my friend to BELLA VAGUES the previous hotel room...And asked my friend from bangalore to transfer money and paid 1, 100 rupees. And guess what it was aldready 5 o clock and my work in chennai starts at 5:30 and i rushed to the room...and put my stuff in washed my face and left in 30 mins .No rest and my face was swollen...And i couldnt stand up properly...

I went to work and came back at 11 O Clock.

And i rested and then next day 5 O clock i checked out from the room and left to work...
I literally just stayed for a couple of hours in a room that i overpaid for a room...All because of the stupid OYO management
...my day was ruined and as an anxiety and asthma patient ..i suffered health an physical issues... So a refund will not work for the problems i went through...A compensation is what will make me cool down...
If OYO doesnt escalate this...I have no other option than to move to Consumer Court...which i can easily do as my family works in Law...

P.S -Also these people in both hotel rooms did not know we were tamilians because we spoke in English...and spoke unparlimentary words that did not entertain us behind our backs that we could clearly hear.
