Oyo Rooms — money not refunded back | |||
I recently started a job in bangalore and the company had given me 15 days of accommodation to stay until i can find my own place to live. I searched online and saw oyo life as an option to stay as it was a cheaper option. I had booked a room in oyo life blr1753 booking id: 99009 to stay for some time till i find a proper home to stay. I paid 32000 inr to book the room with 16000 inr being rent and the rest 16000 inr as the security deposit. On 2nd feb 2020, i reached oyo life with my luggage to shift. As i reached the property, i got to know that the room that i was supposed to stay in had caught fire 2 days ago. They didn’t have any other room that was unoccupied at that time. I was not informed of this in any way by oyo life or the property manager and on top of that, the property manager was laughing while he was telling me as it was a joke. I had to take my stuff and stray for some time till i found someplace to stay. I was given a contact number of someone named priya from the oyo life person through whom i had booked the place (Sumana). She asked me to wait for one day. I did so then the next day i messaged her, she said give me more time for a refund. I waited for 2-3 days, but i didn’t get any formal message from oyo life nor did she reply promptly. I had to request her to reply to my message every time i sent one, only then she would reply. I asked her to give some higher authorities numbers so that i could complain. She got mad at me and told me not to bother her as she will not be eating my money. It's my money on the line and she is the one who is getting angry. She told me that my money won’t go anywhere and that she will reply only when she gets some information. So, i waited for another 5-6 days but i didn’t receive any reply. Every day i message her, but she doesn’t reply. On 20th feb 2020, i messaged priya some emotional message as i was very frustrated but to that she said that she is not handling it anymore and told me not to harass her anymore. I was shocked she doesn’t reply, keeps getting angry at me and i am the one harassing her. I was just asking for my money back and she just kept saying don’t harass me and asked me not to cross my limit. All i was doing was to ask for my money. I am completely frustrated and angry. It’s been 22 days and still no sign of any communication or conformation. I request the consumer forum to take strict actions against the company and help me get my money back. Need GST invoice same pending for over a week now
I have been writing emails and posting on Twitter also however they are not sending gst bill for my Booking moreover they tried to return me gst amount also
