I booked a room from OYO app on 12th September, 2022. The booking was from 12- 16 th September, 2022. The travel was for company purpose in Pune. When I reached at the hotel for check in at around 8.30 pm on 12th September, the hotel manager denied my check in and said that there are no rooms available and asked me to contact oyo as he's not liable for any kind of inconvenience. Then I contacted oyo and the support executive told me to hold on to the line untill she talks to the hotel manager. I was on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes. I asked the hotel manager to talk to oyo, but he said that he didn't receive any call from OYO. It was already 10 pm at night and I was tried as well as frustrated. So I cut the call. Then I clicked on those oyo support chat and clicked on 'hotel denied check on' (Or something similar to that) button. Then it was asking me to either cancel the booking or talk to customer support. As I was already frustrated, I cancelled the booking. The whole amount I paid was 2731, But oyo refunded me Rs 1823. My booking id is : MR8W4414. Why such cancellation charges when it's not my fault?
