On 07.01.2020, i booked a room online through oyo in hotel mahendra plaza, hardoi for 09.01.2020 till morning of 10.01.2020. The booking id was dsyx7504 i paid rs 862.00 online immediately at time of booking. When i reached hotel in evening 09.01.2020 for stay, it was told to me that they do not permit entry to persons who prepaid the amount, they allow only for booking for which amount is paid at hotel. I asked hotel what to do. The manager of hotel asked me to cancel that booking as according to him, the amount is refunded by oyo in case of cancellation. As i had no choice, i cancelled the booking and oyo charged full amount as cancellation charges according to their policy. Thus, i have lost full amount of rs 862.00
My question is when the hotels do not accept the prepaid booking, why the option of payment is given online by oyo. It is cheating. How i would recover the amount either from oyo or hotel mahendra plaza. Was this information helpful? |
