I had booked a room through the oyo app in the name of soham ghosh for 23rd september, 2019 to 29th september, 2019 at hotel sai darshan (Oyo 29037 hotel sai darshan) in navi mumbai. The booking id is vscj0254. However, on reaching the hotel, they denied me the room and demanded more rs. 6000 (Approx.) to get the room which i had already booked and had already fully paid. Immediately i called the oyo customer service but got no proper service. The oyo customer service after hearing my problem had kept the call waiting for over 25 mins and then they hung up. After repeated calls the oyo customer service had linked my call with another aggrieved customer. More than 2 hours had passed and the hotelier refused to get me checked in without paying the extra amount. Another aggrieved customer (Luckily my colleague) had also booked another room in the same hotel via oyo and was facing the same issue at that time. After a lot of pleading and convincing for more than 3 hours finally i had to pay them rs. 4000 extra even after full booking and i had to share the room with my colleague even though he had a separate room booked for himself but had to cancel that, to refrain from paying the extra amount to the hotelier.in total even after booking and fully paying rs. 5012 for the room, i had to pay rs. 4000 extra, which in total costed me rs. 9012 including harassment.
Oyo should be penalized for harassing customers like this. When we are booking a hotel room via oyo, travelling from a different city we expect hassle free service as promised by oyo to its customers. For this harassment and extreme inconvenience i demand full refund of rs. 9012.
