[Resolved]  Oyo Rooms — oyo service issues

I have booked a hotel room in oyo 41071 for my stay at tiruvannamalai, tamil nadu for 11 nov 2019 to 12 nov 2019 with booking id mcsg 5931 at least 20 days prior to the travelling date and paid the entire booking amount.

Now, today i. E. On 9 nov 2019 i got a call from oyo people asking me to shift to select another hotel from oyo as they could not accommodate me in the property which i have booked.

I call the customer support regarding the same and, to my surprise they didn't have any information regarding the call i got from them asking me to change my hotel. And they advised me to call the hotel and check with them, what's the issue and get back to the support team again with the response. But i feel it's their duty to check out what the issue is.

Anyway, as i don't want my program to be messed up, i did the same what they advised. I called the hotel and i was told that they are currently not in contract with oyo so that they could not honor my booking.

I called the oyo customer support again and explained the issue again write from the beginning. And, after explaining the issue to them, they offered me to shift to a property which is about 40 kms from the current one or they can simply cancel my booking and refund me the amount which can be received by me with in 14 days.

So, i totally got messed up, as i already know that 11 nov is a festival day in tiruvannamalai town and the hotels will be filling faster. That is why i made the booking well in advance and paid for the same.

And, i asked the oyo people, at least they can provide the transportation from the alternative hotel to the town of tiruvannamalai as it is 40 kms far from the town and as i new to tamil nadu, i can not manage to commute with in. They denied that rudely and choose my from only two options either to shift for a different property which is 40kms away or refund. That's it. And, i denied either of their offers. And i said i would like to move the matter to consumer court, for which they said, "well you can do whatever you could do".

So i asked them to mail the same conversation in the written form. And, the executive said okay for that and disconnected the call.

After the call, i got a mail saying that as i choose to cancel the booking, they will initiate the refund after checking the matter with their ground team.

And, i also got a call from oyo and the same conversation happened. And i was asked to hold the line for a few minutes as they check the matter. After a few minutes of wait, i was told that they are initiating the refund as i choose to and for the same to processed, they got clearance from the ground team when i was on hold.

I was very upset with oyo as my entire program got upset.

And, at this point of time, it was left to me to find another hotel in the town for my visit. As it is a festival day, i got no hotels. Finally i managed to find a small hotel for which i was asked to pay about 4000 for a night. As it is a festival day and i got no alternatives i had to burn my pockets for no mistake if mine.

This is what i experienced with oyo. It is the worst ever hotel platform in my experience. Sooner or later, it will be shutter down, as no one can fool the customers for longer periods with this kind of behavior.
