I had booked a room for my guests at oyo townhouse 011 esplanade, kolkata vide booking id no. Roiw9380 for 2 night stay (Check in 3/7/18 and check-out5/7/18)
I was charged ₹9238 i. E. ₹4619 per day.
On arrival a small room was provided. The bed sheet, towels and pillow covers were unwashed and smelly. The toilet was also filthy and smelly.
On complaint my guests were promised that they will be shifted to bigger and clean room shortly but the promise was not kept and they had to spend the night in the same room.
Next morning when they wanted to check-out for poor service the hotel manager requested for a second chance and promised to provide proper service and my guests were shifted to a bigger room. After few hours the ac of this room failed and they were provided stand fans. They somehow spent the night without ac in such a hot and humid weather whereas i paid for a ac room.
At the time of checking out when i asked why such inconvenience were caused he had no answer and asked me to make a complain online. When i insisted to talk to a senior representative he introduced me a customer relationship manager.
I asked this customer relationship manager fir 50% refund. The customer relationship manager asked for sometime to look into the matter. After couple of hours he had nothing to say except sorry.
I had preferred oyo for better service and was ready to pay high price of ₹4610 per day. Similar hotels in same locality were cheaper by ₹ 1000. I realised that oyo has a big name but pathetic service and even more pathetic staff.
Oyo has let me down in front of my foreign guests and cheated me of my hard earned my money.
