[Resolved] Oyo Rooms — Payment deducted but booking canceled automatically and Oyo not refunding | |
I booked a room for 30th-31st August 2021 at Oyo Townhouse 235 Swain Heritage, 587/1186, Jayadev Vihar Rd, Block N5, IRC Village, Jayadev Vihar, Bhubaneswar through the Oyo App. The final amount was showing as 1944 and I redirected to GPay for payment. The amount got deducted and I got a record of booking on Oyo App. But later, the booking got automatically canceled. Hotel and Oyo customer care both say the amount was incomplete. Even in my Oyo account records now, the total amount is showing 2062. But when I paid, Oyo app showed 1944, so I paid that much. How can I pay anything other than what is being shown on the app? Is it even possible for a customer to pay anything other than what's shown on the Oyo App, if the payment is done online through GPay? If this is a technical mistake, at least refund my money. Because if my booking is canceled, why would Oyo refuse to refund? Most importantly, I did not cancel the booking. I have been staying here since 27th August 2021 and I plan to stay more. And from now on, I would not be trusting any amount that is shown on the Oyo App. You deduct money and do not refund. And bookings get canceled automatically?? For anybody reading this, do not trust any amount shown on the Oyo App. I paid 1944 INR and all of it is gone! Oyo refunded just 175/- to Oyo Money. Also, I tried reaching the refund team at Oyo but the customer care did not put my call through. Instead they disconnected my call. I made calls for about an hour and talked to multiple people, and all of them disconnected my call. Some of them even asked me from their side if I want to talk to refund team, and when I said yes, they just disconnected! Others just did not want to talk to me about this. Sep 22, 2021 Complaint marked as Resolved They called me up on 1st Sep 2021 and assured me of the refund but it had not happened till yesterday.
I put up a comment again yesterday, received a call from Oyo last evening, and the refund was done later last evening. OYO Rooms customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. I booked oyo on 22 july for 1076 rs at 331 oyo townhouse. I made prepaid payment in oyo app. The hotel asked for extra charges so i cancelled the booking and contacted customer care for oyo. They said i will recieve refund within 24 hours. Then i contacted again at night they said i will receive refund in 10 minutes . They just lie to our damn face . Worst service provided by oyo. My booking id is EXK91519. I have still not got refund of my 1076 rs.
