Oyo Rooms — Refund not done after cancellation

Hi,

I have booked a room via OYO RX1C1670

I was booked near munnar and the actual hotel was booked 40Km away from the location i wanted. When i go there i was shocked. So i tried to cancel the rooms to know the refund value. But in the app they had only cancel booking and modify booking option alone. I just clicked cancel booking without any information it got cancelled directly. After that i tried to contact OYO customer care and even the hotel i have booked. No one picked up the call, and i manually booked hotel with local agents.

Hi Oyo..

Even though it took several days, my problem got resolved. I got the refund amount without any deduction.

Especially thanks the lady who contacted me and gave solution to my issue.

Suggestions:

1. We are in digital world, i feel you application booking notification need to improve.

2. For refund you guys nearly took a month. Actually more than 20days, that's really sucks

3. When a client canceling a booking, you must notify them this will cost you this much and then you need to cancel. But in my scenario it got cancelled directly.

4. When a person booking a room, especially on tourism places. They need the rooms on the city or 15Km Max distance. Showing 40KM away location on the list itself wrong. Even though if the person attempt to book the hotel which is far away, you have to notify them that this hotel is this much distance from the main city they are checking.

I hope OYO will take care the suggestion given by me and others in future. Hope will have smooth and fastest transition with OYO.
